  • This is an English Porter that you can brew at home. It's a delicious, low-strength beer style that often has malt-forward flavors of caramel, biscuits, and chocolate. In this video, I’ll show you how I made it, a few tips during the process, and a taste test of the final beer at the end. Please subscribe!

    Been brewing for 30 years I have plastic fermenter buckets a 3 gal. pot and I use a couple of gallons of chilled tap water to cool down. I have never had a skunk beer. I wish I could afford all that equipment. To me that's not home brewing. I brewed a Blue Moon copy last year that everybody liked better than real Blue Moon. I don't get all the equipment to make good beer.

      Very cool! I’ve only been brewing for about 11 years but definitely have used a similar setup as you. The fancy gear just makes brewing easier and helps control the process a little better but you can certainly make good beer with very simple systems

    I've noticed you don't decant your starters. Do you feel that it's not necessary? Love the quality of the videos and your system is insane. Looking forward to more videos!

      Thank you! I typically will not decant unless I'm doing a light beer like a helles or pils. It does make a very small difference, but you really won't notice much with most beer styles.

    You must have brown malt for the style

    • @ryanmichaelcarter
      @ryanmichaelcarter  3 місяці тому

      There’s no brown malt in this one but you can definitely add some if you prefer. I’d recommend reducing the Munich, Chocolate, and Pale Chocolate a bit if you add any
