@@alan5496 Would cause massive/catastrophic damage to a Katana, not "could". Katana fair exceedingly poorly against even another Katana when the blades clash, never mind swords made by countries without a shortage of natural resources like Iron.
A dao sword was meant to cut through bones. The dao should have won, no exceptions the katana should have even shattered. The dao sword was also made short. That’s a problem.
you should try to go for faster choreography rather than using slow mo footages.and don't spin .also you should bring a long sword to a fight next time so you can end him rightly
Yeah i understand why some people wanna give you flak for this, but i'm gonna be honest, for a literally what i'm assuming as a non existent budget short, with i have to say some excellent cinematography and excellent use with your limited resources, despite there being as practitioners calling a foul about some movements being not right etc etc. I think you did a fantastic job, I enjoyed the seriousness in your faces and how you kept to your choreographed movements. I mean sure there can be some improvements, but than so can everyone. But once again great job. If i had to say my only criticism is that there may have been just a little to much slow-motion. It takes away from the action and speed of the fight, but that's just my opinion.
wrong choice of weapon, stronger guy used lighter saber(therefore he's supposed to be even Faster than the woman),and weaker women choose heavier Katana(makes her even slower). And she even looked slow
The 2 weapons technically are both classed as longswords so one doesn't counter the other directly but they do have different pros and cons, but however its balanced out it all comes down to the conditions and the fighter, not the weapon as it's literally been proven that an untrained person with a sword is more likely to lose to an unarmed but highly trained person, meaning that if they both have a weapon it's the fighter themself that counts
ALL weapons sparring unrealistic.Being TOUCHED by sword and SCORE. . . .Sometimes the LATE SLOW but Powerful breaks the bones. And ARMOR makes fight less choreographed.
It should have been set during world war two. When imperial Japan invaded Republican China in 1937 fights actually took place between Chinese and Japanese swords. I want to know who usually came out on top. Please post information and links about this.

Fear not the weapon, but the hand that wields it...
Just so everyone knows, DAO counters Katana.
It's not about which sword is better, it is about the one who use them
@@hyperdicetv It's also about the quality of the blade. If the dao has a harder edge, it could cause the katana to bend

I Think the dao should have won
If the dao guy has a shield. (dao was designed for that in mind.) This one played to katana's favors due to its longer reach.

To be fair, with the spins, he was protecting his back a good bit, which is the only time I’ll excuse any type of spin.

in my opinion is improper to own a Katana without a Wakizashi and Tanto.
Well filmed! :)

that was cool. thanks.
Yeah... that's not how you wanna fight in a real sword fight. Unless you wanna die easily. 🤨🤔
Orochi vs Tiandi
брехня... Дао перерубит катану напополам!!!)))))))

Дао(да-дао) был создан для того что бы ломать катану! бой у "пик Счастья" 1933 год. - 500 китайцев с Да-Дао перебили более 1000 японцев
wounding leg first to disable kungfu fighter movement, well thats a good one
No Blood in the katana
What was the point of this over stylized garbage?
What's the point of your negative spew of energy?

amsablan my guess would be Russian or Ukrainian. Just a wild ass guess thought so don't quote me on it.
I like Japanese katana
I hate China sword dao
Yeah to each his/her own, just like if one prefers an AK? OR an AR for his/her protection.
