So you are saying that the FS 2 has a reader and. the FS 3 has no reader , therefore, Medicare will not pay for it because. they will not pay for a system that is used with a smart phone? Do you know if they are going to make a reader for the FS3 because it sounds like. this one. as a continuous, no scan along with the reduced waste would be a better option . Do you think the FS2 will be phased out? and I couldn't get a handle on whether or not you found it. to be more efficient than the FS2. You spoke of errors with the 2 and I am wondering if that would be the case for the 3.
There is no receiver for Libre 3 and I haven't seen any indication that they will make one. So far both Libre 2 and the 14-day sensors are available, so it doesn't look like they'll be phasing out any of their Libre sensors any day soon. Libre 3 can’t give dosing recommendations. There are different options available depending on what county you’re in. In the US the InPen is a good option, for many countries outside US MySugr is a good option. You can also google “insulin dosing calculator” to find free online options
I started using libre 3 recently, and simply had regret. The first sample pack they sent me didn't even work, it was faulty so had to throw it away. The next official one worked fine, but after one short shower the adhesive on it piled off and the censor came off. I've had nothing but disappointment from this 😞
@@DiabetesStrong I'm seeing my doctor for a checkup soon so will ask them about methods to keep it held. I do get dry skin in the winter so need to use skin cream, so might be why, but I'm certain the doctors face issues with this before with patients
That’s frustrating. I did find the accuracy (for me) to be very similar between Libre 3 and Dexcom G6, but we’re all so different so it might be a better option for you

The trick is to order it through the German Libre website (with a German IP address), have it sent to someone in Germany, and then have them send it to you (or fly over, but then it starts getting really expensive). Last I heard one sensor is 60 Euro + Vat. Please let me know if it works out for you

@@sheriwal1514 I ended up switched back to Levemir not that long ago, I’m not sure if it’s a permanent switch or not. I was happy enough on Tresiba but due to some health issues ended up needing very different doses from day to day and that kind of chaos is easier to deal with with a shorter-acting basal such as Levemir.
CAN YOU PLACE IT ON A DIFFERENT PLACE ON YOUR BODY OTHER THEN YOUR ARM ? I AM NOW USING THE LIBRE 2 ,THE ONLY DRAWBACK I FIND IS THAT IT CAN’T BE PAIRED WITH AN ANDROID PHONE AND MOST POOR PEOPLE LIKE MYSELF HAVE .

@@tonykelpie I find the app works way better than the reader. The readers Touchscreen won’t work for some reason sometimes and the battery drains really fast for me. For the libre 3 there won’t be a reader anymore, it will only communicate with your phone. The Libre 3 iOS app is already available. The Android app will come out in a few months time.
Yes, unfortunately, Dexcom is not as widely available as other solutions such as the FreeStyle Libre. For me Libre isn't a better solution, but I'd think it's better than nothing, if you can get your hands on one
@@DiabetesStrong for a type two diabetic you think the libre or dexcom will be better ? My insurance doesn’t cover it so I’m thinking of the cheaper option
@@jaybee2812 depends. If you use insulin I’d go for Libre 2 or Dexcom G6 as they have the alerts. if you don’t use insulin Libre 1 is probably the most affordable option and it’ll give you all the information you need.

I haven’t been able to find it on the Canadian Freestyle Libre site so I don’t think so

That is disappointing! Unfortunately, many need to wear overlay tape to prevent it from falling off

You can't calibrate the Libre sensor. If it's way off you'll have to call them and ask for a replacement

I don't think they will, at least not for a while. As far as I'm informed there will still be a reader

The dedicated Libre readers are better than the iPhone anyway. I don’t know if there is a dedicated Libre3 reader but 1and 2 readers work well
