The 2150 pump is slightly different from other pumps. TheWildThing is same as 2150. It has offset gear. Your video helped me confirm what I assumed. However lifting up and slamming down a customers saw really bothered me. RESPECT
I have the Poulon PL3816 and you can,t keep oil in the tank, put oil in the tank and let it sit and it will empty the oil tank overnight. Not coming out the cap and the o ring looks ok. Has leaked like this since I bought it. Any idea of what might be wrong, thought about ordering a new pump.
In these situations I will clean and dry the saw, put oil in it and montor it closely. The idea is to find the source of the leak before everything is covered in oil.
@@TheGreasyShopRag Modern Poulans just make me go "EWE" after that 1950 Wood Shark I bought when I was 16 years old. Now some people have no problems with modern Poulans out of that box, but the one I had was an enormous turd.
@@MrSummitvilleSo what? So I ain't the only one that has had issues with modern plastic Poulans. They're steaming, heaping piles of dung that killed a once very reputable brand.
Nice repair, looks like it’s ready for a 28” bar now!
Yes, a 28" bar so you don't have to bend over to cut 4" limbs!
@@TheGreasyShopRag correct!

You might have some kind of blockage or worm drive issue.
And I just threw up a little in my mouth🤢
I call modern Poulans the Saturday Night Specials of the chainsaw world.
The labor rate to repair them is the same as the rate for repairing an MS660 :-)

@@williambray4134So what? So, you had a problem with one chain saw ... that means absolutely nothing.
