- We took the Mahindra Bolero Neo for a real-world Off-Roading test. In this video, we demonstrate the superb off-roading capabilities of the Bolero Neo, despite being a 4x2. What makes our review special, is that you will see the Bolero Neo conquering the real world, natural rocky off-road terrain, instead of the easy peasy; man-made off-road track, dug up by JCB's.
In this review, we only highlight the Mechanical Locking Differential which gives the Bolero Neo superb off-roading capabilities, we will be coming out with the drive review next week, so stay tuned to our channel.
The 7-Seater, Mahindra Bolero Neo is priced at Rs 8.77 Lakhs(ex-showroom) for the N4 Variant & the top end N10(O) variant is priced at Rs 10.99 Lakhs(ex-showroom). Bolero Neo is offered in four variants, N4, N8, N10, N10(O). The Mahindra Bolero Neo comes with a BS-6 compliant, 1.5 L Three-Cylinder, M-Hawk engine producing 100 HP & 260 Nm of Torque.
The Bolero Neo is a rebadged and revamped version of the Mahindra TUV 300 but with quite a few changes. The Bolero Neo gets a blacked-out front grille with chrome inserts, new headlamps with DRL’s, new fog lamps, wheel arches & 15” Alloy Wheels.
The Bolero Neo comes with a 7.0’’ Touch infotainment system with Mahindra connected apps. It however does not come with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. It gets a new instrument cluster which is quite similar to the Mahindra Thar. The Bolero Neo gives a fuel efficiency of 12-13 Km/l in the city whereas, on highways, it returns 16-17 km/l.
In terms of safety features, the Bolero Neo gets front dual airbags, EBD, ABS, corner control braking, rear parking sensors. It is being offered with a five-speed manual transmission. Mahindra has also fitted the Bolero Neo with a locking differential or as they have termed it multi-terrain technology for improved off-road handling. This feature is only available on the top-spec N10 (O) variant. The Bolero Neo is the only 4x2 SUV in India to receive a Locking differential. The Bolero Neo competes with the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport & the Honda WR-V.

Best review I've ever seen. . Most practical review 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you so much!
The best part of this car is its simplicity. I just loved it. Booked it today.
Waah congratulation
@@hunnysingh3814 thanks bhai
were you able to sort out the back camera?
@@tourerrahaman5593 bhai it has rear parking sensors. I think it should be sufficient.
@@Luvallo thanks.. I was worried considering the size of the car.
I am a proud owner of the Bolero Neo N10. It a real SUV!!..highly capable and tough..go anywhere type of a vehicle. Most of the other SUVs in India today are just raised hatchbacks.
Yes i agree.
Do ur bolero neo has company fitted infotainment system or kenwood one?
God level drifting and off-roading skills..
Thank you so much for the compliment :)
Here's the much-awaited adventurous off-roading review of the Mahindra Bolero Neo. Do let us know your thoughts about the Bolero Neo in the comments :)
This video just made Mahindra bolero interesting🌸
Thank you so much for the appreciation :)
This is one of the best videos of Bolero Neo on UA-cam. So well explained and videographed gorgeously.😘😍 Kudos to the Team.
Thank you so much Ajaykumar. Glad you liked it. Do share it with your friends and family.
Driving skill & camera man 👌👌👌
Very nice video, many people make videos but don't show it properly. If you are to give information, then you have to show it by driving too,all reviewers are to learn from you.
Nice Video👍👍 and nice cameragraphy too

Excellent review. 👍🏻 I'm gonna get this car pretty soon. :)
Congratulations on your new car :)
Intro clip was awesome.
Good humor I swear we have drivers like in back in the day😂🙈
Ground clearance is a little concern here otherwise this car is best for indian roads 👌
Love to see the real drifting n donut on India made car .. appreciate ur driving skill bro...🙏😁

What's the on road price of neo n10 optional?
Rs 13 lakhs in Bangalore
1 No power slides bhai.
Thank you so much :)
Good,👍
Very Nice Video Buddy. Im from Bangalore was waiting for Bolero Neo Video from.Bangalore and convincing me that Bolero Neo is also for urban families..
Thank you so much :)
The Neo will not disappoint you at all for urban usage.
@@IndianDrives Great how about mileage, city usage and highway stability.
During our drive, we got the following results :
City- 12-14 Km/l
Peak traffic hour- 10 Km/l
Highway - 15-16 Km/l
The driving experience on the highway was good, the stability of the Neo has been better than before because of the reduction in height of the vehicle. The cruise control adds on to the driving please over the highways. The only negative, the engine is not happy with high-speed highway cruising.
The ride is best when driven around 80-110 Km/h.
Differincial locking provides a vehicle equall power to both rear wheels which makes it move in many terrains and makes it like a tractor which can come out of any type of situation on itself.
Correctly explained and that's exactly what makes the Bolero Neo a capable off roader despite being a 4x2.
@@IndianDrives bro I was a Comercial driver till 2007 and later a transporter and from last 5 yrs I am a farmer. I know about engins, gear box, ND differincial much better then a normal man.
Far better than creta ,xl6 and seltos very good mahindra
Good review..👍🏻
Glad you liked it! :)
nice review....try to solve audio issue next time
Thank you so much for your compliment and input, we will definitely try to improve the audio quality in the future videos.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Will a new facelift bolero come out this year?
We're not sure of that yet.
Nice
Please can you do same review with bolero b6
Will definitely try.
Does MLD work / help in slush and muddy roads.....?? Bolero Neo (o) should have been. Proper 4x4
Im sure none of the korean or chinese counterparts in this category has the abilities of a bolero! The only area where Mahindra needs to improve is cabin build quality..
So true
Make a video of bolero neo vs Nexon in off road conditions
Will definitely try.
Thank u...it will b a fresh video as no channel has shown a comparative off-road video of bolero neo agains other FWD Suv
How to use mld?
It works automatically under low traction, you do not need to activate it manually.
@@IndianDrives what happen when both rear tyres doesn't got traction
Super Driving
Thank you so much :)
👌
Awesome, N4 variant is capable of this?
N4 Variant is capable to take over mild off-road terrain, but for extreme off-roading, you will need the Mechanical locking differential, which is available in the N10(0) Variant.
Mast 4*3 hai
4x3 LOL :D
One big disappointment is with the Central console screen
Mahindra has started giving Kenwood system instead of company default setup screen which had many functions...
A total turn off ...Do u have any idea that the new 2022 models will have Kenwood music system or earlier version of the mahindra system?
We think they will continue with the 7.0" Kenwood System, but the only downside is that it cannot connect with the bluesense app, rest all the functions worked fine during our test. We could see the fuel info, DRL etc.
U seem to have very good driving skills..bolero neo is true compact suv ..unlike other fake suv
Thank you for your kind words.
Ladder on Frame SUVs are the real deal ;)
Everything is good but the gear lever vibration, 3 cylinder engine and essential feature like rear camera with dynamic guidelines are missing
The gear lever vibration has significantly reduced if compared to older Mahindra SUVs, the 3-Cylinder engine is good enough for a balanced driving style, sure it misses out the grunt of a four-cylinder, but it ain't bad. Lastly, yes the absence of the rear parking camera is a major disappointment considering the size of the SUV, but we're glad it at least comes with the parking sensors.
Manufacture date?
This N10(O) variant is 2021 manufactured.
Good downhill capability and show of a good ground clearance 😂
Sorry, you'll have to get in touch with your dealership for that.
On road price
Rs 13 Lakhs ( On-Road Bangalore)
A real off road bolero n10 o video...
Hope you liked it :)
Diesel price are soaring high and on top of that add blue needs to be filled due to its bs6 engine. So it better to buy tata nexon diesel where, atleast we don't have to add blue and in the end save some money which is spend on buying add blue.
Both the vehicles are good in their own ways. The Nexon being a much more practical Urban SUV for city usage.
While the Bolero Neo being robust, comfortable and spacious over broken roads. That too at a fraction of the price!
Unfortunately, the Bolero does need the Add Blue liquid, but that isn't a deal breaker right?

Class apart
Thank you so much for your kind words :)
Mechanical locking differential will distribute equal power to both rear wheels not single wheel
Today i am declaring this is 4by3 vehicle.
Old is gud
Old Bolero is the original OG's of the SUV, the Neo however is the better and much more comfortable version of the Bolero.
Mahindra Arabian horse 🐎
The music in between in irritated
If only they put MLD in scorpio and the original bolero. This neo looks like a bus from the side.
The new upcoming Scorpio-N might be offered with the MLD.
@@IndianDrives Hopefully it will have MLD. Imagine a bolero 4x4 with MLD, that would have been unstoppable. Or even a RWD bolero with MLD. It should atleast have been optional for customer who wants the feature and pay extra.
