@@issaknife802 still not even in a top 50 of rollercoasters, even the Vekoma Boomerang there is better. Tbh the sea serpent is the best Boomerang, it is really smooth, unlike the nor eastern. I would know because I was here for the day today and had wristbands to go on any ride. I’m in the car rn driving home
For those of you wondering, Wildwood survived Sandy mostly intact, suffering primarily minor wind damage and flooding. They didn't fare as badly as LBI or more infamously Seaside. I haven't seen it yet for myself, but from what I've heard, Morey's Piers will be back in business come the summer season.
I swear, My first coasters with inversions were at the time T2 and Chang at Kentucky Kingdom, Chang was super smooth but T2 definitely gave me whiplash, my whole chest hurt for like a whole week took a toll on my lil body
Ahh, that high-pitched hum going up the hill that could be heard from the beach is so nostalgic for me! It’s definitely good that they renovated it so it’s smoother, but now that sound is gone (or at least, is lower and not as loud) and I can’t hear when the ride is going from my beach blanket anymore xD
The fact he held that camera so steady on the corkscrew we should all give him a round of applause haha. Anyone that has been on this knows why I say that.
this brings back memories when I was a kid..spending the summers in wildwood...I remember this ride all too well and when it opened in 95. it used to be red..even better one Sept, I was down there for the weekend, I had to be 15 with my mom. I spent that Saturday riding this ride over and over and over again..there wasn't any lines or anyone...I never got outta the seat..I remember that day..I kept waving to the ride workers to let me keep going over and over..they at one point stopped the train on the lift hill mid way to punk me, and one of the workers took a ride with me. I must have went about 17 times in a row on that ride that day...soo much I had red bruises on my legs from dangling so much..this might be just another rollercoaster to most of you...but for me..this rollercoaster has meaning and was a part of my childhood. and it was my first BIG rollercoaster I ever went on at 9 years old when it opened.
danggggg i’m 13 rn and all i can do is the great white lmaoo (only counting the 3 coasters not the rides lmao). but i’m going back this summer and i rly wanna do all 3, the great white, the sea serpent, and the great nor’easter
I go on July with my best friend every year and we ride boards all the way to the end of the boardwalk!!!! So much fun! I stay at ocean towers!!! I have also been on this ride!!! I kept my eyes closed but not on the loopy part...IM SO BRAVE!!!
I think the trickiest move on this would be making one's way from the seat on the right over to the catwalk on the left if the coaster were to get stuck on the up hill. I don't think I'd have to worry too much about that though as I would stick to the log flume on the left.
I went on this ride on numerous times when on vacation down the Jersey shore, Many great memories. The other coaster I really loved was the Sea Serpent. Both were un rides. Great job to the videographer.
This is almost the same lay-out as the El Condor in Walibi Holland. I love that rollercoaster! Only in this video are the new vekoma trains, in holland they still have the old ones. Such a shame. Walibi has to replace all old vekoma trains into new trains. They already did it one rollercoaster and those trains are great!
It's amazing how the offride POV makes the ride look smooth, graceful, and even beautiful at times. But then when you actually ride it, it beats the crap out of you. The big shocker is that it actually wasn't that bad with the old trains.
ohhh yeah!! i was in a couple of those roller coasters, this and another one,i thought that i was going to lose my heart lol, also shirts with "watch the tramcar please" lol,we had fun for sure,i hope to be there soon!!
This is the first of my favorite roller coasters in Wildwood. I'm only about 25 minutes from Wildwood. Second is Great White and third is Sea Serpent, all part of Morey's Pier. They also repainted this ride and updated the tracks. Will have to see how much better it looks this year.
I live around this area and I come here all the time. Just recently they redesigned the coaster and put new tracks on the whole thing and it’s completely different. You should try it out because in my opinion it’s more thrilling.
not sure about the durability but in the NorEaster's case it serves 2 purposes - 1, it just makes sense because its named after a snow storm, & 2, at night it looks completely different because theres colored spotlights on the ground below it, gives it a sorta-kinda northern lights effect
ive been going there for a week every year since i was born, & ill be 30 in august. ive seen a LOT of changes over the years, both good and bad. but no matter what, that place is still my 2nd home ;)
lucky you! thats awesome. i'd hate to be down there if the ocean ever raised hell but i love thunderstorms & have seen some pretty wild ones there. i'll actually be down there again in a few days, it's family vacation time ;)
Grew up at the shore as a kid and rode this ever since it first opened. Today the ride is absolutely horrible as last year when i rode it my neck and head hurt so bad. Coaster use to be a redish pink color till it was repainted white. In February 2016, Morey's Piers revealed that $4million would be spent on replacing 90% of the ride's track with new track that uses 'bending technology' to make for a smoother ride experience. Morey's Piers also confirmed that they would hold a competition to rename the ride later in 2016
Omg this ride is the best. The first time I went on it I was 8, I remember saying to my cousin why did you bring me on this!! At the end I'm like that is my favorite ride
Everytime we go to wildwood, we would go the beach and I always been curious about the amusement park next to it, I really want to go here so bad, before summer ends and school starts
Nasir Crockett Talon is way better! Talon is smoother and in my opinion more intense. This goes upside down one more time the talon, but if you want to be sore from pain for the wrest of the day, don't go on this.
Great setting for this one. SLCs are pretty damn fun. Not sure how they've earned their reputation, but I know that if I worked in the marketing department for Vagisil, I would focus promotions and advertising on the coaster-riding community ahead of the women with yeast infection community.
when you're on the ride, you don't notice how tangled up the coaster is with other rides on the peir. it gets really close to the log flume and water slide.
Yo this deadass is the same roller coaster as the now named T3 at Kentucky Kingdom, the end just had like 3 more banks cause some reason they had to add extra track
I remember when this was still in development, they had a contest to name it. I came up with "hurricane" or something and when they announced the name was Nor'easter (and my dad explained to me what a nor'easter was) I insisted there wasn't much difference. I think I was 11 or 12 at the time.
hey Rob!!! The next ride you should check out in 2019 is Ghost Ship. It's in Wildwood as well and was built back in 2010. Its a walkthrough haunted house with many levels. Its pretty fun!!!!
What they could do is retrack this ride with their newer track they used on Orkanen at Farup Sommerland or Bandit Bomber at Yas Waterworld. That should take away most of its roughness.
They redid it and it is MUCH smoother. One of the best coasters imo

I just watched this and to get the full effect I had my wife beat me across the head and ears every five or six seconds.
That's a very good pun on what I said. Take a pat on the back from me.
Whoops, this and the last comment came from me. Bodsnvimto. Seems that my daughter took over my - OOOH NO NOT HER - laptop in my absence.
Bods I've been on this it doesn't really hurt your head, it just hurts your neck on the twists

Just went on this tonight!! Good times.
this is the roughest roller coaster I've been on, but it's so fun
The prototype version of this is even worse. Kills me everytime but damn its fun
ikr, I went on it for the first time last night and I was surprised how rough it was but it still was REALLY fun
+Chris Kozak i like your channel picture! GO EAGLES
It's not as bad as the others, beware...
Try Desperado in Primm Valley on the California & Nevada border. It can't get rougher than that.
If you sit in the middle or back it’s very smooth, also they upgraded the track and painted it a year or two ago
The restraints on this ride are amazing like seriously.

Yes! I love the wildwood boardwalk!
Haven't been back to wildwood in a good 9 years... Used to go every summer as a kid. I'm 28 now. How much has changed since the 90's-early 2000's?
MC ZombieSlayer same
Vekoma SLC's... nightmares in the making...
Why?! The Nor'easter was the second best coaster in Wildwood!
They did a makeover now its a ton smoother. It's no B&M but it feels like it compared to the old Nor'Easter.
Almost sounds like a B & M

Seriously scary ride but get amazing thrill out of it. I suggest it 100%
