Which means you'd NEVER bring live ammo on a set, and if so, it's on you, within sight/under supervision, or locked away so you're the only one with access to them. I'm a complete moron who almost shot of my own foot on patrol. When I'm telling you this, you should probably listen Edit; It's the three things they taught me, because it's the three things i always did. I'm also from a country where we don't have mass shootings every other day, and the only weapons people who aren't in active service owns are usually hunting rifles, shotguns or for sport shooting. Gun laws are strict as hell here and actually works, which means most people would probably aim a loaded gun at everyone and don't understand why people are upset about it. There are countless scenes where you can see the ammo, and many scenes where actors visibly load or unload their guns. I fire synthetic rounds at the range that have a red polymer coating so it would be easy to use different colors for blank or dummy rounds, but people watching to movie would think they looked fake.

They all made irresponsible choices and killed that woman.
Yes! But one should also look into where the live munition came from. It's too easy to blame one single person for all of this. There were so many mistakes in all of this.
Let’s be real guys… this wasn’t Alec Baldwins fault. Like I know it was his movie, and he fired the shot - but he was paying people that were SUPPOSED to be smarter then him in that field to ensure these guns were shooting blanks. Like come on guys, have some decrement. Multiple things can exist at once. What happened can be extremely wrong and sad - and also not Baldwins fault at the same time… this isn’t a black & white situation
Sure, but he went ahead and accepted the gun from someone who wasn't the armorer because they wanted to hurry the non union workers along and finish the day up. There is a basic fuck up right there, and he of course knew better. Ever said himself in the interview. The co-producers should have never touched that gun and Baldwin should have never accepted it. There are several factors here. Unfortunately due to the prosecution fuck up Gutierez may be able to appeal too which is unjust
He fired a gun that he NEGLIGENTLY assumed was unloaded and killed a woman. That's called manslaughter, and it's punishable by many years of prison. The fact he DIDN'T go to jail is corrupt, all because he's rich and famous. Disgusting.
@madeleinebrett-matthewson71421 It's because the prosecution fucked up and decided to not allow discovery of some very basic evidence with defense and attempt to cover up theit mistake. It's a complete injustice to deny a trial verdict (no matter what it was) and has now compromised the prior case too.
Dude you gotta read the facts of the case again. They were both complicit in murder if not at least manslaughter. Involuntarily is crazy. Alec Baldwin got dog piled for political reasons. I'm a conservative and ill admit it. Its the actors job to be in character and act, not worry about safety.
100% Agreed. I'm certain that if Alec wasn't also one of the producers for the film, he never would of been charged in the first place. When Michael Masse accidentally killed Brandon Lee during filming of The Crow, no criminal nor civil charges were ever filed against him.
I’ll agree but only about 80%. I’m firm in the belief that as a 2nd amendment advocate and gun owner myself that it doesn’t matter what the situation is or what your particular job is you ALWAYS treat a firearm as loaded. And you ALWAYS assume responsibility of it the moment it’s in your possession. But the “armorer” who’s some dumb broad who got the job because daddy is a famous armorer is still the most at fault for the incident.
It’s the actors job to be in character and act…but Alec was also the producer. The entire production had multiple accusations of severe negligence, employees were literally quitting because it was unsafe. They were also going on strike for unsafe working conditions. The production violated numerous state laws including OSHA violations. Production would have hired the drug addicted unqualified armorer and assigned her a second job which she wasn’t paid for. Then after all this the production almost certainly tampered with evidence and conspired to cover up evidence. Baldwin the actor was not liable but it’s easy to argue that the producer should be held liable for what happened on his set. He knew about everything. He was on set daily
Thats not how good gun safety works. If he had actually checked the gun and ammo this all would of been avoided. The "he's just an actor its not his job" is a silly excuse and dangerous. Anyone handling a gun should assume its loaded when its handed to them, check the gun and ammo, show the crew then proceed with the pictures.

Baldwin was in the production staff. He is the executive producer. He was leading the show.
Plus he should've checked the gun himself. Gun safety is everyone's responsibility
@@kimpeater1 You do realize that, for productions to work, even for smaller scale ones like this, you kinda have to let your entire crew do their jobs and trust they can do it, right? No lie, this was an engaging video. I really never got bored. Wow. Youre good.
God I hate California industry type culture. The way Hannah talks about her career rather than the victim of a fatal shooting just shows how normalized narcissism is in that social sphere
Narcissism in America is becoming so common that the American Psychological Association heavily considered removing Narcissistic Personality Disorder from the diagnostic manual. So many people are narcissists nowadays that it is becoming the normal
One’s career advancement is nowhere in the same realm importance of someone else’s life
It’s really not just California. Entitlement and self righteousness is a plague sweeping America. Liberty and Freedom are dead concepts.
Her career is her life. People die everyday and everywhere, being somewhat indifferent to that has nothing to do with narcissism. If someone dies because of your fault it is totally normal to fear for to consequences. Facing jail and losing everything is extremely frightening, probably more important to her than a strangers life. It is not like she killed someone for her career or something, she is simply concerned about her future which is totally understandable.

@thefreshmailand Technically, jail is her life now. Just saying.
Aside from that, you're conflating 2 different circumstances: "Being somewhat indifferent" to a news headline, for example, is a tad bit different than seeing the real thing right in front of you. Army taught me *_THREE_* things the first week;
1; *NEVER*, for ANY reason EVER, do NOT aim it at anyone. Whether it's loaded, unloaded, real, fake, got a plumb in it, or is a pop-gun.
2; ALWAYS assume ANY and EVERY weapon is real, loaded, chambered, and had the most sensitive trigger ever invented.
3; NEVER bring live ammo or a hot gun to a place it can be confused for a safe one. Which means you'd NEVER bring live ammo on a set, and if so, it's on you, within sight/under supervision, or locked away so you're the only one with access to them.
I'm a complete moron who almost shot of my own foot on patrol. When I'm telling you this, you should probably listen
Edit;
It's the three things they taught me, because it's the three things i always did. And yes, I know there's a difference between a movie set and the fucking army. But they don't just give you a gun and assume you know how to handle it, like you fucking should.
I'm also from a country where we don't have mass shootings every other day, and the only weapons people who aren't in active service owns are usually hunting rifles, shotguns or for sport shooting. Gun laws are strict as hell here and actually works, which means most people would probably aim a loaded gun at everyone and don't understand why people are upset about it.

did you even watch the video? he clearly explained why the prop-bullet has to look like a real bullet
Because everything being used in a movie or show has to look authentic, genius. You can't have actors loading bright pink polka dot blanks into a gun. It has to look like a real round of ammunition. There are countless scenes where you can see the ammo, and many scenes where actors visibly load or unload their guns.
I fire synthetic rounds at the range that have a red polymer coating so it would be easy to use different colors for blank or dummy rounds, but people watching to movie would think they looked fake.
@JamalGinsberg111 well considering we know we're watching a movie, we know it's fake and people aren't really being shot. So why even have bullets in it anyway. No one is looking...well caring that much while watching a scene

Disgusting.
@madeleinebrett-matthewson71421
It's because the prosecution fucked up and decided to not allow discovery of some very basic evidence with defense and attempt to cover up theit mistake. It's a complete injustice to deny a trial verdict (no matter what it was) and has now compromised the prior case too.

Nah, Alec is still culpable. He still pulled the trigger, and what’s worse lied about it. Him being a pompous dolt is unrelated
