i was hoping your vlog would tell us which travel insurances actually work abroad if faced with a situation. the features are available anywhere online to read. a vlogger mentioned how he bought travel insurance from tata aig and when he needed it and called the helpline from abroad, he got really poor service from the flunky customer service graduates and said they can't help him with his hospitalization costs which had nothing to do with any preexisting conditions and avoided the whole thing. free premium for the insurance company.

Unfortunately, international travel insurance offered by INDIAN COMPANIES ARE NOT ACCEPTED for cashless claims anywhere in the world, even a small test in developed nations costs 1000 USD(INR 80,000). I have spoken to a few healthcare providers outside India and they said the same thing having an insurance from India is as good as having no insurance at all. There are no positive reviews anywhere on the internet especially for health claims and in most cases there will be no help from helpline. If you know about any organization that offers credible services outside India, please let me know.

Madam thanks for the info.but u didn't tell how the travel insurance works.suppose if someone has emergency during the travel i.e he /she is hospitalised then in this case who will pay the hopital charges. U will pay and then reclaim it from the insurance company or Insurance company will at the spot pay all the covered expenses.

You are right. She did not explain. I can explain a little. In case of a visit to the Hospital, you have to pay and then claim back. If you are lucky they will pay back. Most insurance companies will not pay anything under some excuse or another. In case of major illness or accident, they will cover costs only to stabilise you and make you fit to travel back. They wont cover prolonged hospital stay.
