🇭🇷 Recap of all the songs entries that have represented Croatia in their history at the Eurovision Song Contest since 1993 to 2023. Croatia debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest 1993. Since then, they havent won any edition, being their best result a 4th place achieved in 1996 and 1999. Their worst result is the 38th place reached in 2018. These are all their entries:

We were brilliant during the days of Yugoslavia, particularly late 80s. We even won once (1989). It was Yugoslavia, but the band was from modern day Croatia and next year's Eurovision was held in Zagreb, capital of Croatia.
We weren't necessarily as good in the 90s as in the 80s, but we were still pretty great. It's by far our best decade as an independent country. That 1999 song is still very popular in Croatia.
Unfortunately, 2000s was a time of decline. We were somewhat good in the first half, but we started dropping in quality and performance by the end.
2010s were even worse. Apart from 2017, we didn't have a single good year. We had 4 years of not qualifying. We hit rock bottom. I thought after the comeback in 2016 we were going to reinvent ourselves. After our first final appearance in years in 2016 and 13th place finish in 2017 (9th in televoting), I thought we were back. Then came 2018 and we got our worst ever result. Then we brought our national selection back, but still failed in 2019. It seemed like whatever we do, we were doomed to fail.
But there is hope. 2020 song was the first one in a long time that many Croats liked and it's reasonably popular, even though the contest wasn't held. 2021 and 2022 entries both finished 11th in their respective semifinals and 27th overall. We weren't qualifying, but at least it was close. There's no big difference between 10th and 11th place. Now we got Let 3. Finally we got an interesting song and put this row of 4 non-qualifying songs to an end. We got to the left side of the scoreboard again after 7 years and finished 7th in televoting, making it our best result since 2006 and the best one in the modern Eurovision voting system. Perhaps better days our ahead of us. I surely hope so.
