I just stumbled upon this and what a treat!! From one witchy nurse to another, blessings my friend and thank you for your video. I can't wait to watch more of your content.
Hats off to you I was watching a ton of anise hyssop videos and everyone is missing the Mark you truly brought all the information out and did this plant Justice
Probably to late to get and I have no more room in my 2×10 garden. I live in an apartment complex. I am very blessed to have a garden at all. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Feel lucky to have subscribed to your UA-cam channel. Thank you for all that you kind try to teach, share.
Have anise hyssop and it is a winner. Dear and rabbits don’t eat it, finches love the seeds, and you can sometimes see 8 to 10 of them sitting on top eating away. They do seed all over the place and I can’t pull them out so I transplant them often. In a few weeks they will start to look bad, and I will cut them back. They will regrow somewhat.
Damn shame it blooms for max 3 weeks for ≈5 months of growth! But it self-seeds and grows _very_ easily! Pinching it often is highly suggested for much more flower spikes!
Depends on where you live, and how much of a growing season you have left. It is a perennial under the right conditions so as long as it has time to get established it should come back next year even if it doesn't have time enough to bloom
@@TheGardenWitch oh Geez! I am so sorry. I forgot to tell you where I live. That might help. I live in Louisville, Kentucky! I spotted some Hyssop growing at a park the other day and I was totally shocked by the number of pollinators. A plant I want to add to my garden for sure.
@@beverlybelcher3423 You'd be pretty close to me in growing zone then, meaning that you have a couple months still- enough time to get it established for sure. If you can find a pre-started plant that would be best, and don't forget to give extra water when it's super hot ;)
You begin your video by saying that you are suffering in the heat for me, the youtube view... I never asked you to suffer???... if it's too hot and humid for you then don't make the video... do not complain about doing something for me that I didn't ask you to do.
Love the combo of gardening and witchy influences! Seems like I found the right channel!! :)

I am really enjoying this plant. The bees adore it. Having tried the tea yet but betting it’s delicious. Thanks for sharing 💜
Love your videos. You are my go-to garden Master. 🙏🏼🤗🤗
Love it! It’s in my garden for the fist time this year & I’m still getting acquainted with it.
Good to plant near your runner beans to attract pollinators.

Thank you ❤
Great info, got some seeds, planted today
thank you
Hi. My Anise Hyssop still has its dried flower spikes on it from last year. Should I cut the spikes down? Middle of winter here in the UK
You can cut those down anytime, usually new growth in the spring will come up from the dormant rootstock not from last year's stems
Wow nice

Can you plant hyssop in August?

Thanks, you can tell I'm an autodidact because I learn these things from reading and never hear other people say them correctly 😅
