My first night flight, and it was all out over the sea! Apart from when I flew between the two chimneys of a generating station that has been closed for 9 years. The music and style was inspired by the film 'Drive', which I think is a bit out of the ordinary and won't be to everyone's taste :) Luckily the Skyhunter has an FPV camera with an IR sensitive lens which means I can still see in total darkness.

What camera did you use, and what settings? Looks beautiful!

Love it. The dusk flight with the city lights still on looks the best time to fly. :-)
Thanks :) It was fairly light still at take off but was very dark at the end! I did it like this so i could experience the different levels of light
Cool vid man I've always wanted to tick a night flight off my list as well but haven't got there yet. I'm starting a new build soon (VAS Spectre) and retiring the Bix3 and considering whether or not have a pan/tilt on it. What do you reackon? Pan/tilt worthwhile or just another thing to get in the way?
Pan and tilt is really cool. I would recommend it as long as you feel comfortable flying fixed wing FPV. If you have an FC that will allow the plane to cruise by itself then it's even more fun to have a look around. Good luck with the build
@@AdamGdoesFPV Yeah I was thinking of just using a pan hooked up to my rudder channel since the spectre doesn't have a rudder like my current setup. I'm running the ET vector so definitely setup for it just not sure if I want to complicate things.
@@glene9986 I'd say give it a go. A simple pan servo added to the setup won't make a huge difference :) rudder channel is a good option, especially because the stick will spring back to centre when you need to look straight ahead again.
Music adds a really cool vibe to this video, very nicely done!

Thanks 😊 the image in the live feed was actually quite good. The lens is IR sensitive and when it gets dark you can still see but it’s in black and white. There are a few clips in this video which show the live feed, look out for the OSD 👍🏻

It's good fun! gets the heart rate going :) The setup is great and if you're doing night flights you just need to ensure your camera has an IR sensitive lens

I've not find the reference of the under wing cam. better quality than firefly in the night! nice footage !
The camera out on the wing is a Runcam HD ► tiny.cc/i2cv0y I was surprised how well it did as it's a cheap old camera. The firefly was really bad at night. Maybe doesn't cope with low light very well or there is an issue with the lens. Thanks :)

At the moment my 3 favourites are probably Mini Talon, Skyhunter and ZCon. If I could choose 4 I’d have the Mini Drak too

Have been trying to find someone in the midlands to fly along with. Not really into being the guy in his late 20s standing on his own in a field. Not the image im going for lol
Whats your thoughts on servos ? its a minefield out there and i dont really know the load these hunters will put on them.

Got 1 of these brand spanking new in the box 1800mm , with motor / esc / and servo’s fitted , hard to find these days , bought it few yr back on intentions of flying it and fitting it with an fpv camera & never bothered , never ever assembled it ……
You should build it now and get it flying. Still a cool model 👍🏻
@@AdamGdoesFPV i didnt expect it to be that big when i bought it but when i saw the size of the fuselage i thought i’d not bother , sat in its box ever since , also got the excalibur 260 rtf model , thats sat in its box for yrs to (never assembled or flown)(never opened it , to big for where i live as theres nowhere around with the space to fly , the amount of gear ive got and lipo’s is unbelievable …..
