Yeah, I I am taking adult ballet classes for about six years now I’m into my second workshop at the national ballet of Canada in Toronto. It’s absolute beginner level two I love our teacher Caroline. The only problem that I’m really having is jumping. I cannot jump. I have osteoarthritis in my right knee and a meniscus tear so anytime there’s like a leaping jumping. I feel totally left out in the class and I see other people like in terms of centre work they’re leaping across the floor or they’re jumping like we have to pretend like there’s a puddle. We’re trying to jump over and it’s really hard. I can’t do it and I feel left out. I wish there was something I could do I wish I could jump i told ,y teacher after class I’m to scared to land on right knee . Your a beautiful dancer and wonderful teacher thank you 🩰
Lovely. I particularly found it very helpful how you broke down the tombe, pas de bourree, chasse. That is used in my dance class all the time. As to the leaps one of my teachers in Jazz has us starting to work on what he calls brush leaps. The front leg sort of does a degage and the back leg is straight. He says think of jumping over a puddle. :) In my mind I think I look like you, but the mirror tells a different tale. :) LOL Thank you for the awesome videos and Braden, too. They really are quite helpful.
OMG!! You’re the first person in my life who has teached me the big saut de chat perfectly!! 😱 I mean, better than my teacher! 🤣 Thank youuuuu!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻💘💘💘🔝🔝🔝
I love this! This is my speed lol. I needed a refresher on this as I want to use it in choreography and I searched and searched only to find videos of dancers doing this at 90 mph and it was hard to figure out. Now I think I've got it! Thank you!!!
Hello! Really really thank you, I was searching for explanations of this, and was amazing, I’m sure with practice and follow this steps I can do and improve, really thank you. Warn regards from Dominican Republic
Auti I have so many questions.I was 6 when I learnt just a some ballet moves I was obsessed and then I quited ballet. But now i am thinking to learn it again and I am 13.Please give me the links of the things I can't do. 1.Leap leg stretch because I can't do the full split leap. 2.The ballet spin(Twirl). 3.The ballet Arabesque(not the normal one the one in which our leg is fully stretched in). Please send me the links if you have made a tutorial of these 3 things. Thanks❤
Hi thank you so much for teaching me these wonderful cool things I wouldn't be at dance tryouts in 2 weeks if it wasn't for you cuz I would think that I'm not good enough thank you so much 💝💝💝💝💝
Awesome! Is it possible to land with one foot? I'm curious how the root and upper body react when the foot lands and balances the whole body. lol or is it a different leap?
I may not be auti but I can tell you that it is never too late to start doing something that you love and 16 is'nt even that old if you do take up this advise and start ballet then best of luck 😊👍
depends on goals - - for professional work and career it's obviously the age 16 is just late; - for own needs and just practicing pretty physical activity it's obviously never too late.
@@Rostislav1977 I am sorry to contradict your words but I have seen people start at sixteen and still be professional . You are allowed your opinion though and I know you only want to help😊😊😊👍
Oh no, watching this video to look for tips to improve my figure skating split jump. Just realised that ballet needs the right leg in front. For figure skating it would be the left, and now i'm totally confused.... beautiful leaps though!!😍
no… this is saut de chat which goes through developpe (bent knee) and a grand jete goes through a brush which means you keep your leg straight the whole time
I am her daughter and I love your videos and yeah I learn a lot from your videos and yeah the movie called Leap that girl this is big jump I really want to learn that
I'm not Miss Auti; but yes you can! Just take ballet 3-4 times per week and listen to your teacher to see if your feet, ankles, legs, and technique is strong enough to not injure yourself!
lyricalliz I have been taking contemporary for two months now once a week (I just got my splits). I also stretch everyday for 30 mins. Would I be able to improve quickly if I took contemporary once a week, and ballet twice? I’d continue with stretching everyday, but would this sort of schedule help me advance quickly? Also I’m 13 right now, I’ll be 14 in a few months.
@@mialevings1097 Every dancing class will help a bit; but you will need to focus primarily on ballet classes, both with only flats (ballet slippers) and pre-pointe classes, where they really prepare your muscles for pointe work. If you have good teachers, they won't rush into it for you, as it can really injure you if you're not ready. Listen to your teachers, try to take more or the right prep classes and you should be fine! Good job stretching every day, that helps dance in general. What you will need is more foot, ankle, and leg/hip strength for pointe. Good luck! You can do it.
yeah you should probably have a small oversplit so that in the air you have a full split because if you only have your regular split in the air instead of having the perfect 180° split you will only have maybe a 150° split

You are so pretty
Hi Auti
plz upload a video on a la sicon
I don't expect to get an answer but do I need to have my splits to achieve the leap?
Yes because a full leap is basically a split in the air
yeah you should probably have a small oversplit so that in the air you have a full split because if you only have your regular split in the air instead of having the perfect 180° split you will only have maybe a 150° split
It's funny how I can do great oversplits and firebirds and calypsos but not a simple saut de chat lol
thank you!
I just finished doing a full split but it's still not that balanced , how the heck am i supposed to float?!?
I did it ty
Hey thx
Is this mirrored??
can u vlog a grade 4 centre practice please

Could you make more jazz style dance videos?
The movie is called ballerina I think
Same
0:24 the movie is called ballerina
@Gabi Stevens no, it’s actually called leap look it up on Netflix or the internet
mika no I just searched it up and if we are talking about the same one where she moves from an orphanage to a ballet school it’s called ballerina
Yeah but on Netflix I watched it as leap and yes it’s the same when the girl was from the orphanage.
