Aaron, one of the reasons we insist you to listen to live stages is cause Taemin has improved so much in his vocals, even it's only one or two years apart. You really can hear the difference between his live stage in 2018 concert and the studio version in 2016. Hence the live stages are always better. His improvement in singing "I'm Crying" between 2017 concert and 2019 concert is always so impressive to me, let alone date all the way back to his early SHINee days.
this song makes me cry sooo baaad 😭 theres a performance where hes singing this song standing on a piano, he did it so well T_T and also in concerts his live voice is flawless
Soldier’s lyrics were written by Taemin by the way!
There is no one better in dancing and his singing is great too. Have seen him analyze by a computer and he even beat JHope. He is the whole package and until he leaves K-Pop no one will ever surpass him.- He lives and breathes his career. Practices to get things perfect. I have watched a lot of Chinese and Korean soloists (don't have male singing groups in China, got banned) and he is the best I have ever heard. His dancing is out of this world and his looks...OMG.
It's really one of my favorite songs by taemin , it has a lot of emotions and his vocals are just everything!
My favorite performance for this song is the one he performed on the Sirius concert tour in 2018 with another song " rise" , It's just a great performance, and I really hope you watch it on UA-cam since it's a concert and it won't get blocked, I really hope so. 🙏🏻

Ahh what a treat! Out of all beautiful ballads in Taemin’s discography I have to say Soldier is my favorite. This song is just so special, not only because of its beautiful, haunting, angel-like melody, but because Taemin wrote the lyrics and I feel like it’s very personal to him. There’s many amazing live stages - my personal favorite is from his Budokan concert where he walks around the stage. But of course there’s also Soldier + Rise from Sirius tour which is absolutely spectacular! I hope you’ll react to Rise soon so you can react to this performance. I will always say that what separates Taemin from other main dancers (even those with solo careers) is his amazing voice. The way he can belt those high notes with so much emotions is not something anyone can do, he’s just really one of a kind.

Don't tell him such nonsense! This song has shit to do with Naeun or his relationship with her! This song is about Taemin's faith. He explained it himself and if you read the lyrics thoughtfully you would have gotten that even without his explanation! It's about his relationship with God, about sin, about forgiveness and all that!
