      Yes I did to. I got sick to my stomach. Shew. I'm glad that worked out well. I would have been just as scared. I have a brown thumb but wish so much it was green. I killed my banana plant when I didn't change pots and it outgrew it and died. 😢 I'm researching the truly tiny now because I live in KY and it has to be in a pot. Have you gotten any bananas from them yet?

    Truly tiny is a variation of the dwarf cavendish and a cousin to the super dwarf cavendish. All of the when young can have red in the leaves early to middle of the year, truly tiny usually keeps it while the others usually lose there red each year as they grow

    Browning on the cavendish is a result of overwatering, the tree is taking in a lot of water at once and the cell blocks burst and get damaged, resulting in brown spots. You may have to space out your watering.

    Hello Bren!
    I live Northeast Ohio. I bought 3 Dwarf Musa Cavendish's in April. I gave 1 to my mom, she left it in the pot & it continued to grow with the red in the leaves.
    I planted the other 2 in my garden. When I dug them out in the fall to winterize them they had grown over 4' tall & lost all the red coloring in the leaves!!?? That is why I bought them in the 1st place!
    Do you know if they'll get red leaves again next year when I put them back in the ground?

    • @BrenHaas
      @BrenHaas  7 місяців тому

      After doing some research on the Dwarf Musa Cavendish - it appears they are suppose to lose their red / purplish spots on the leaves with age. Chances are, your plant will not get those color tones back again as they age. Maybe that is why mine changed as well!
      Thanks for leaving a comment - let me know if you find anything new ab out this plant.
