Pellicci is definitely a must. Pie Mash and Liquor is considered food of the Gods for us Cockneys. My family used to live there 50+ years ago. My nan had a Jewish restaurant off that Rd with Pellicci on. You're more than welcome in the East End!
As you walked over tower bridge from the tower ,if u looked upriver to your right ,She was sitting there in all her Glory,Her Majestys Ship BELFAST, One of the last remaining warships from WW2, Oddly HMS Caroline from WW1 is moored in Belfast
That does look like a good fry up, every review I've seen recently has had toast instead of fried bread so it's good to see a fried slice on there, you can't beat a fried slice, I can live without hash browns and prefer my mushrooms with a little more char but that's just being picky, I'd be very happy with that plate of food!
A little known fact ,There is a barracks above the crown jewels ,There is twenty soldiers based there for security at night and plain clothes during the day
My rule of thumb is if the sauce is in the generic brown bottle it is not HP. Could be good, could be not so good. Likewise with the red bottle is probably not Heinz.❤🎉
Hats off to both of you 👍you done your homework on pie & mash eating with a fork & spoon that’s the proper way. If you come again try stewed eels pie & mash loads of vinegar & white pepper ( sorry Me what’s his name couldn’t make )
after watching a bunch of your videos, it makes me wonder how long was your entire trip in europe?? It looks like it would take weeks, but epic nonetheless! :) And dont worry, I love the whimsical accents being thrown in, not gonna lie but I let them slip once in a while too haha. also great material! didnt know eels were a thing in london, makes me wonder if the eel stew would have been a better choice than the jelly. haha i went with lambs head jelly in iceland and im not sure if i wanna repeat it again. Thank God for asian food already giving me a stronger stomach XD
I have no idea why British restaurants started adding hash browns onto a Full English. Because they don't belong there. We're being bleedin' yankyfied enough without them intruding on our culinary staples.
It should be bubble and squeak not American hash browns on the breakfast. That is not a true Cumberland sausage either as that would be in a spiral shape.
Unless the Gregg's you go to have anything warm don't go there... if you want a proper sausage roll go to a butchers... greggs suck.... there are so many better baker's than them
I was just saying to my missus, greggs is crap I prefer a proper bakers with crusty rolls and nice soups etc old fashioned, greggs is like a conveyor belt of the same stuff, then I came across your comment, I'm proud of you haha
Italians, like my dad,do not recognise spag bol but spaghetti with a ragu;also proper spaghetti is not served with the meat sauce on top but mixed like the lady did on her plate. The owners either can't be Italian or have lived in Britain too long and forgotten.🤷♂️ Plus, the prices are ridiculously expensive for what you get, even for London.
Your not eating the breakfast right way. None of the english eat a piece of bacon and sausauge together. Watch back your video again, Your actually making fun of our english breakfast, the chinese lad. Poor review, better not to do it all.
@@locavore_eatseat what you want where you want how you want, rubbish naff comment by OP, you are making fun of English breakfast? Breakfast don't care, breakfast just wants to be eaten! 😂❤
I love how you guys are visiting the not so high end food places. My opinion is the more working class places have the best food
Yesss these are the places we love going to but also we don't wanna break the bank either going to high-end places 😅😅😅
@@locavore_eats also they tend to be a closer to traditional

Fair play on eating the jellied eels, even as a local, i've never tried that 😀
Thanks we had a great time in London!!! Haha our curiosity was too strong to not try the eels 😅
Respect for using your cutlery correctly(!)

Fry bread all the way!! We'd struggle to finish one whole plate to one person. Good thing we halved 😆
Bubble and squeak instead of hash browns is the way to go.

Thank you!!! Stewed eels is defs on the list for next time 😊
Loved the video but would have loved a Chinatown 2.1 London tour as well.
Next time for sure!! So many amazing spots in such a small area!

Our trip was over 4 weeks and basically vlogged everyday apart from transit days which is why we're always in winter clothes! Thanks for watching!!

Wht is that jelly stuff? Is that fish in there??
It's eels and it's set in a stock 😊
missing: garlic fried rice
😂😂😂
overrated , yawn
The vinegar is for the EELS.........................................................
Its pronounce Medi -evil not med evil.
The pie and mash looks good, but the jelly eels is not for me.

How recent are your videos? Cause it doesn't match the season. You are like wearing fall and winter attire. I thought Europe was warmer in 2023
This was in February earlier this year 😊
@@locavore_eatsthought so
@@locavore_eatsThanks. Keep up the good content. Love the videos
Steer clear of Greggs it's greasy, horrible rubbish. Find a good local butcher or baker for decent pies.
