I acquired an original many many years ago from Russia. Sadly, the thorn used to hold the pin to the hat broke with the absolute least bit of effort to unfold them. Maybe weakened from decades upon decades buried in the earth. So I simply used thread and secured it... Many ppl do not know that the Oak Leafe is a Norse Pagan symbol of strength and perseverance, and this is why it was chosen and its still used to this day..
Thank you very much for your comment! Thats pretty badass with the original one. Very interesting 👍🏻 Also the german Camos were related to trees. Platanentarn for example tries to copy the look of the bark thats on the tree or oak leaf pattern that looks like a pile of oak leaves. Germanic ppl always went to the woods and took theyr strength from it. Thx for watching!
I like the badge, the paint looks good. I have a Bundeswehr badge that is gold colored and I painted mine flat black on the wreath and flat green on the oak leaf. Really like the sumpftarn camo!
Hey Richard, i know that bw Jäger (hunter) badge! Very cool that you did the Same Thing 😅👍🏻 I always need some Mini projects 😊 and i thought 'why No video about it 🤔?' Yes, the sumpftarn swamp camo is super awesome! Golden oldie! Thank you very much Mate 🫡
This is so great to see! I've done the same exact procedure to affix badges to fieldcaps. I've also spray painted them to make them more subdued. Again, great vid! 👍

Very Nice, still hung up on the stumpftarn pattern. currently like the flectarn pattern like the oak leafs but love an edelweiss. thinking about sewing my cloth edelweiss onto my flectarn field cap.
Hey Roo, you are right for sure! I shouldnt be so lazy and sew on the other two also 😜 Thank you very much for your comment and watching. I really appreciate it ☺️ Best regards, GR 🤙🏻
