ffs dmc what is your definition of full range of motion the goal is hip extension and posterior chain strength locking down my scap to not roll forward into protraction there’s several forms of KB swings.
Kettle bell training has improved my keyboard game immensely.....I knock out emails and memorandum with such power....excel game has leveled up .. I'm pumping through pivot tables and sorting data with killer instinct. Just gotta improve my heavy club skills .....
Two arm swings One arm swings Rotational swings 10 each, repeat every minute on the minute for a total of 12 mins, 4 sets each, Shadowbox inbetween exercises for rest of minute after you hit 10
Very effective. I am not a fighter, far from it. A 55 yo grandfather, and this routine rocks. No injuries, no soreness and the results are almost immediate. Thanks for the lesson.
*By functional I mean you can comfortably swing or carry it **bestgym.equipment** around as one would expect of a kettlebell weight. By versatile I mean the protective coating does not prevent attaching magnetic micro-plates to increase the weight, so, for example, a 35 pound kettlebell can be increased by up to 5 pounds in weight or possibly a bit more by attaching magnetic micro-plates.*
I was looking for a finisher workout to complete after my main one. I would typically do a cardio based workout as a finisher but this is so much better. This works the entire body incorporating strength and cardio. I can’t wait to try this. Thanks.
Phil, love these simple straightforward low to no equipment cardio and endurance workouts. Cardio is my biggest struggle and joggings not an option so this stuff helps alot
When I was fighting youtube wasn't around so to find someone who had knowledge & experience like these Gentleman have you would have to either know the right people, frequent the right gyms by traveling etc., or just be in the right place at the right time. I hope the young fighters and enthusiast's that frequent quality channels like this & Funk's realize how lucky they are to have this type of content literally at their finger tip's!
This protocol is almost exactly what I found from an older article on scientific-based conditioning. The only difference is this one has a bit more variety (the one I found was just 10 kettlebell swings on the minute every minute for about the same time). If you used this in the same way, you would do this about 3 times/week for conditioning in addition to strength training.
@@iwantlee9510 I think he means that because of Covid and lockdowns, people were forced to stay at home and with that, people found ways to exercise effectively at home and some may have actually found that more beneficial and enough for their needs.
super awesome, this channel man, I swear, the gift that keeps on giving tremendous insight and maximizing of every form of potential for combat readiness, fitness, strength - mental and physical, and all with such a great attitude and delivery, just the best
Interesting workout methodology. You got explosive strength-speed there and making it endurant enough for you to stay in the fight and be someone the opponent can get knocked out by, if they're not careful. Good job!
Heyyyyyy I never knew of the kettle bell swing rotating side to side.. Amazing!! In addition to my quads & glutes, I can just feel my abs being engaged!
Watched the vid earlier today and incorporated it into my workout this evening. Good stuff! No surprise you train pros. Very clear instructions. Thank you Phil.
You have a great upper body form on your Kettlebell swings, but you are bending your lower back. You're doing that because the Kettlebell is swinging too low. Try to keep that badboy a little tighter to your body, like you're shitting it. It forces that hip hinge and explosion back up. Sounds crazy, but I got that advice from Pavel Tsatsouline's Enter the Kettlebell and it was a game changer.
Like the training video of world class athletes' trainer. I am from South Korea and I will keep doing this workout for wrestling and futsal until COVID is over.
Keep these coming man.... These are great. I am not a fighter but you can do these exercises in even a hotel room or something... Awesome content man...
That rotational/pendulum swing looks legit. Not only will it help to develop or learn how to transfer power from the earth through your core, & into your punches and elbows, but just like with the bulgarian bag it carries over really well to grappling and throws.

Phil Daru why when you’re not using full range motion while doing KTB ??
ffs dmc what is your definition of full range of motion the goal is hip extension and posterior chain strength locking down my scap to not roll forward into protraction there’s several forms of KB swings.
Phil Daru you’re the expert in this field i’m just learning from you, and thank you for your reply brother.
@@PhilDaruStrong brother why you dping 14 reps of rotation swing? Shouldn't you do just 10 if I understood...
Super 👍

I love the no BS approach to getting strong and fit. Plus the thorough explanations of why you do what you do and how you do what you do.
