I’m so impressed with Fedor’s obvious commitment to his learners. He’s just a natural teacher! I started learning when lockdown first happened - wasn’t too sure at first but Fedor’s enthusiasm helped to keep me going. We’ve just started a U3A (University of the 3rd Age) group in Plymouth (UK), but we’ll only meet fortnightly, so these videos will be the mainstay of any progress I make towards being able to communicate in Russian. It would be nice to have contact with Russian speakers, but this is pretty impossible at the moment! Keep up the good work, Fedor, and thanks for the inspiration!
Hello, I am a native Russian speaker. I need practice with someone who is a native English speaker. Would you like to come in contact? We can do this through Skype or other social networks.
I am a native speaker of the language, it is very interesting to watch how it is taught / studied! I wish everyone to learn it)) I can correspond with someone via messenger, for practice
I’ve been learning for around 200 days, found this video at the beginning and paused it in the middle to get more practice. Come forward to now and I know all of these by heart besides two, feels pretty cool.
I'm learning Russian as a Slovak and I'm finding some similarities between Russian and Czech 😅🤭. For ex. good morning - доброе утро in Czech is "dobré jitro" or Where are you from? - Вы откуда? "Odkud jste?" in both languages with very similar pronunciation. It's easier to pick and learn these phrases for me. ☺️
Here as an English speaker learning Russian because I love Russian dramas. And writing those letters makes me feel like I'm writing magic symbols for incantations!

Удачи, мужик! Я не из России, но научился свободно по русски и ты сможешь. Вот правда я из Украины, в моем городе все по русски говрят, с детства меня учили русскому, а не украинскому, поэтому я скорее учил украинский язык в школе, а русский и так знал, но мне приятно видеть как иностранцы изучают язык на котором я говорю всю жизнь. Русская грамматика вовсе не сложная, а слова можно ставить в любом порядке. Кстати, откуда ты, если не секрет?

I want to share with you the method by which I mastered three languages well at the same time (you can also learn 1 language). I composed and wrote down 50 sentences and dictated them. (I posted all my materials on UA-cam for free use). The essence is very simple: in each lesson I add no more than 5 new words, and practice them to perfection in different versions. Iatk, first you listen from your native language to the language that is most familiar or easiest to you. Then you listen from this language to your native one, then you listen from this language to the next one, then again switch places and so on. There are 12 videos of 1 lesson posted on the channel. After watching all 12 videos of 1 lesson, you will be surprised by the progress. You can start the second lesson and so on. If you don't want to learn a language from the list, skip it. I would be very grateful if you appreciate my work.
This has been sooo helpful! I want to learn Russian both for personal enrichment and to speak with Russians in my community. I feel like I am already learning so much! Thank you!
Самое забавное, что на русском можно говорить на сленге и вряд ли это возможно будет перевести. А любой русский тебя легко поймет. При этом знаток классического русского вообще не будет одуплять че за тема.

Oh this is bringing back memories! 1981 I took over my brother's basement apartment and I met my Russian landlords, Susan and Misha. They had a 9 year old daughter Annie who was totally bilingual. I could actually read a first grade book. Well all that faded through the years and all I remember was yes, no, thank you, and goodbye. For me being a little hearing impaired the endings of Russian words kinda to me run together unlike French or Spanish. But I'm going to save this and try to learn these words. It'll help me with listening and trying to get every sound. Susan was the one trying to teach me and she was very patient. Then they moved. On my father's side I'm part Russian amongst other things.

And now the little I have learned. Now I have some Russian buddies who are very cool and I talk to them almost every day so thank you for what you do.
Good luck! But keep in mind that literature russian and gamers slang are two different things. And dayz has its own slang. Probably, I don't play it :)
It's incredible to see how many words in russian sound and mean something similar in spanish or other languages. Makes you think about all the intersections our cultures have had over millenia of development. Spanish, for instance, has over 4000 words that come from arab, beeing the second most influential language after latin for it.
I don't have anyone encouraging me to really try to learn Russian, so motivation is hard sometimes, but I love that the first comment I see is someone telling you not to give up.
What I am excited about, is learning the real functioning language. I was using Duolingo for so long but there were errors. Plus when would I say "There is a crocodile in the kitchen." I love this channel. Thank you
it was so funny that I was learning Russian for the first time 4 days ago for half an hour because I couldn't sleep and the next morning I could read a Russian message in my local library! that motivated me so much that I want to actually learn the language.
I've been learning a bit recently. The sound and pronounciation of the words seems easy for me. I think the hard part for me is learning the Russian alphabet and associating the symbols/letters used. When its spelled in English lettering its easy.

I'm learning Russian as a secret language with me and my friends I'm taking notes right now and I'm learning it to impress family!
I like how you repeat yourself... this is so important for beginners!
It's effective for you to listening to something in Russian 10-15 min in a day guys. İt's important to be intensive. Good luck.
Ah, I'm so happy to find a video so easy to follow along! I have Russian and German blood, and I am very excited to tap into my roots ❤

Beautiful language. I always wanted to learn but had it in the back of my mind. Time to get started! Thank you for the tutorials.
Yeah, most Slavic languages are quite similar. I love to watch channel @worldfriends77 , they show how similar words in different languages sound ^_^
Here as an English speaker learning Russian because I love Russian dramas. And writing those letters makes me feel like I'm writing magic symbols for incantations!
I've started learning Russian to give my mind a good work out and to learn a new language. This was helpful for me to enunciate better.
This is by far the most easy to understand lesson for me (a total beginner in the Russian language). Thank you so much!
^^^This! Totally agree! My youngest son prob knows way more than I but have been picking up on just numbers and a few objects from listening to his Russian children sing alongs! Like "pyat", his favorite, number 5. :) Soon we will all be able to chit chat on here in Russian. ☺

I am am 69 yo and learning Russian is hard, but a great exercise for my brain. I began learning about a year ago using several different online sources. However, a lack of good resources to learn grammar is killing me. Then I discovered Fedor on this channel.
My son and daughter enrolled me in the Jan 8 Boot Camp and I am so excited to begin making serious progress! I look forward to being able to begin understanding the Russian sermons and conversing with my eastern European friends at church.
Удачи, мужик! Я не из России, но научился свободно по русски и ты сможешь. Вот правда я из Украины, в моем городе все по русски говрят, с детства меня учили русскому, а не украинскому, поэтому я скорее учил украинский язык в школе, а русский и так знал, но мне приятно видеть как иностранцы изучают язык на котором я говорю всю жизнь. Русская грамматика вовсе не сложная, а слова можно ставить в любом порядке. Кстати, откуда ты, если не секрет?
From what I have gleaned from youtube people, is that vocabulary is much more important than grammar.
@@charleshorseman55 Ну я из России и ты абсолютно прав, ты можешь говорить очень не грамотно, но мы будем тебя понимать, главное что б ты знал как можно больше слов, но грамматика конечно тоже важна

This is super helpful! I've been learning a little over a month this has helped a bunch.
This has been sooo helpful! I want to learn Russian both for personal enrichment and to speak with Russians in my community. I feel like I am already learning so much! Thank you!
I’ve always loved the way Russian sounds, it’s a very beautiful language. I hope I will be fluent one day🙏
Самое забавное, что на русском можно говорить на сленге и вряд ли это возможно будет перевести. А любой русский тебя легко поймет. При этом знаток классического русского вообще не будет одуплять че за тема.
I can help you practice this language if you want

Hello, how do you like the idea of learning languages together?
Attend a slavic church and you will have great opportunity to use your Russian. They are lovely people!
I just want to start off by saying. What you do Is badass, I play dayz which is zombie survive which takes place near Russia. So I play on a Roleplay Server and theres people who are native Russians. So I figured it would be cool to talk to them in their language. They spoke perfect english but I wanted to learn a new language and this was as good as any time to learn. And now the little I have learned. Now I have some Russian buddies who are very cool and I talk to them almost every day so thank you for what you do.
Good luck! But keep in mind that literature russian and gamers slang are two different things. And dayz has its own slang. Probably, I don't play it :)
Я знаю, что, возможно, я фальшиво говорю по-русски, но я думаю, что учить этот язык очень весело, и спасибо, что помогли мне!

Plus when would I say "There is a crocodile in the kitchen."

it was so funny that I was learning Russian for the first time 4 days ago for half an hour because I couldn't sleep and the next morning I could read a Russian message in my local library! that motivated me so much that I want to actually learn the language.
I also came from Duolingo lol. It has its uses but it's fair share of errors as well. Hence why I'm here on UA-cam trying to correct those errors!
Здрасьте. Спасибо вам большое за урок. 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I've been learning a bit recently. The sound and pronounciation of the words seems easy for me. I think the hard part for me is learning the Russian alphabet and associating the symbols/letters used. When its spelled in English lettering its easy.
Сначала учи просто слова. Этого достаточно, чтобы тебя поняли на улице. Так же говорят русские в англоговорящих странах, не используя правильно времена и окончания слов. А когда наберешь достаточный набор слов, уже нужно общаться с носителями, которые объяснят почему нужно говорить так, а не иначе. Это норм. Без базы основных слов никак не сможешь общаться. Так всегда и везде.
This is very nicely put, easy and atractive. I got somewhat fascinated by a lovely lady who teaches piano and she is so gentle and clear and she speaks Russian and she uses Russian letters and I want to know what they mean and how to link them... just curiosity but very interesting. Thank you for shearing this skill, beautiful and a pleasure to listen to and watch👏👏🙂👍.
If I'm not mistaken "cup of water" is translated into Russian as "чашка воды" and "стакан воды" is translated into English as "glass of water"
