I love how classy you always look and behave..like even though you are in shape and could wear any kind of crop top if you really wanted to and look fine you still think about not being overly showy and staying classy. Same goes for cleavage...like I have never seen you look too over the top. It's refreshing and like another commenter said, you remind me of Duchess Kate...ladylike, kind hearted, sweet and classy. :)
+Moesha O'Donkor that's why I said she thinks about never being "overly showy" or "over the top". Some in moderation is just fine. My message just said that Fleur is conscious of being careful about where to draw the line and you can tell she puts thought into her clothing choices.
You just seem absolutely lovely. Seriously! You remind me of Princess Kate, in that you're a very high-powered person, but you are so gracious, and kind. Thank you for sharing!
you just ooze class, you are such a beautiful person inside and out. you have the most beautiful heart and soul and really shines through your personality. also your hair looks amazing.
I AM SO EXCITED FOR YOUR SECOND BOOK!!! I had seen a snap from Mike with you working on another book and had a heart attack! Can't wait to see the progress etc.
I've been to two Madonna Concerts and they were the best concerts I have ever been to. I am only 17 but I've grown up listening to her music on replay. Hope you're feeling better Fleur
My biggest tip is to dynamically stretch beforehand if you don't already, it just makes you feel so much bouncier! Also get an app if you don't have one so you can see your times and distances getting better!
Fleur, I'm a high school varsity cross country and distance track athlete afflicted with relatively severe asthma, allergies, and injuries, the whole bundle! In the beginning of 9th year, my mum would always push me to go run, but like you, I was afraid and would only do a mile or so. But, in the spring of 2015, I tried out for track on a whim, intending to go out for sprints, but after try-outs, I was put in the distance crew. First day of practise: 5.3 miles and I think I died there. But throughout the 2014-2015 Track season and 2015-2016 Cross Country season, I discovered the joys behind running with one's friends, conquering a new goal, whether it be a new distance or new personal record, and the thrill of competition! I had a bucket goal in the 8th grade to run 15 miles without stopping and I had thought, what a joke! But this summer, I accomplished it with my friends and it was one of the best feelings ever despite the fact that my lungs had collapsed way before. I hope you will keep on pursuing running, and even if distance is not extortionately far, it's all about conquering one's own challenges and goals, not others'. It might feel like the most difficult thing you've ever done but in the end, you'll see that it was all worth it in the end. Keep on running and being the wonderful person you are!
I'm totally the same about running! Love/hate relationship for sure. There are a bunch of "Couch to 5K" programs out there that help you gradually progress up to running 3 miles without stopping. Plus, you can sign up for a race which is always a fun time. Happy Vlogmas!
For running, I find if I keep running longer than last run, and keep encouraging myself, I get stronger, when I first started to running outside I keep stopping and rest, but after a while I find I can run half marathon without stop once. So I hope this helps and hope you can keep going and be happy and healthy 😘
I find that with running it helps me the most to focus on enjoying it rather than running a certain distance or time! those things will come with training, but enjoying it is the foundation of a successful run!
I love running! Signing up for a race with a distance or time goal really helps me! I do 2-3 a year and it helps me stay focused. Enjoy! Such a great stress reliever :)
I'm super excited for book 2, eeekkkk :) It's nice to see someone else that had a fear of running outside, not sure why I had it, but it soon left when I joined the army.
I'm so happy that you enjoyed the Madonna concert, I'm 15 and I absolutely adore her kinda obsessed actually. 😂 I've been a fan since I was nine and continued following her and I've become a major Madonna fan over the last few years, I'm hooked now!😂😁 I saw her October 17th in Portland Oregon, probably one of the most memorable nights I have ever experienced in my whole life, it was insane seeing her up close. She's one of the best performers out there, she really takes you on a journey throughout the entire show and makes it really enjoyable, she truly is the queen of pop 👑 glad you had an awesome time‼️‼️😘
I love running! I started a few months ago and I do about the same distance (1.5-2 miles) but I do intervals and build each week. I'll increase the interval length to build endurance.
I got really into running this year, and I would look for interesting podcasts and only listen to them when I went running- it kept me motivated and made it super enjoyable. Plus, for whatever reason, the time seems to pass quicker when I'm listening to podcasts vs music, so I tend to run for longer when I'm doing that.
I started running in March, having never run before, and I've recently completed my first half marathon and I didn't stop once! The best advice I can give is don't be too hard on yourself, and try and increase your mileage by about half a mile a week 😊
there is no bad time of year to start running! :) Drink TONS of water, it helps a lot! Also, diet is really important in terms of energy levels. Good luck! So glad to hear you've begun running!
Ooh it's so exciting that you're running! This is my sixth year as a runner and I love it! I would say to make sure you're in the right shoes because all the pounding can cause injury if you're in the wrong ones. Any running store should be able to fit you for shoes. Also, I prefer to breathe in through my nose and out through my mouth- it's one of the most efficient ways to transport oxygen and it helps prevent cramps.
Adding interval training to your regular running routine is a good way to help run faster. There are a bunch of different techniques so find one that works for you! I personally don't like interval training, but I know they have their place and benefits.
Yes we need the jingle! Have you not got an advent calendar this year? Got so used to you opening your calendar during vlogmas! Was interested to see which one you've got this year! 😉🎄☃❄️🌨
Well done with the running Fleur! I have the exact same fear when it comes to running outside! I feel like people might be judging me which is silly really! Running outdoors is defo going to be my New Years resolution!
If you're just starting out to run, running then stopping and walk a while, is actually how you do it. My tip is just always think that every little bit helps and gets you somewhere.
I started running in June. I lost 3 stones since then (eating healthy as well). :) If you haven't ran in ages, don't start with exhausting yourself. There is a great NHS app, called Coach to 5K, it tells you when to run and when to walk, so you can ease into it, instead of rushing without stopping. I love running very much, now that I actually learned how to do it. Good luck!
Excited for your 2nd book! :D And RE: running - definitely try a couch to 5K app - they build your running endurance up gradually, so you're running more and walking less each week - eventually running for 30 minutes without stopping :) it really works, coming from someone like me who hates running outside too lol!
Mm, strictly speaking, there is a right way of running, one foot in front of the other with momentum. One foot would technically be hopping, which is the way I do it to mix things up a bit.
When you don't feel like running, just do it... It will be hard but once you're out the door your fine and you'll feel the urge to push yourself, and if you don't then it's just not your day! You'll have good days and bad days but stick with it because it's seriously worth it as you'll find yourself improving and you'll feel awesome! Also, if you struggle with a stitch (because that is the major culprit of me either slowing down or stopping) try to synchronise your breathing with your leg/feet movement, so like exhale on every x amount of steps on the same foot, because lol there is probably no science behind it whatsoever but it works for a me because I find myself thinking carefully about so I'm in control of it more! X
Madonna is also a wee bit, but not much, older than moi. I'd like to say, girls, you are gonna rock it as long as you stay THINKING young, fun, happy, laugh a lot and take good care of yourself. Do not fear ...
For running, just keep going at a comfortable pace and continuously challenge yourself, gradually. I always find it more of a mental challenge than a physical one when it comes to long distance. I will say though, be careful of your knees and ankles. I run at least 15-20 miles a week and the constant pounding on concrete has hurt my knees and given me tendonitis in my ankle so now I run on the treadmill or the grass, with good running shoes and ankle and knees braces. Try to lessen the load on your knees and ankles by going on the elliptical or some other cardio machine (like biking) if you can. As long as you stay consistent with whatever cardio, your body will not forget the strength that it built up running and will maintain a good heart rate. Good luck!
Running tips:(I went from hating running to marathon runner in 2 years. Ive been coached by the best). Speed and breaks do not matter its all about time on your feet and the speed and lack of need for breaks will follow. Run in intervals. Do not completely stop when you take a "break" just keep going but walk for a minute or 30 sec. Look up the galloway method on walk run intervals. Garuntee you will be go to a lot further and faster with that and you will work up to running nonstop. No shame intervals. He won the boston marathon on this method!
I started running outside in september because that was one of my goals of this year and I had not done it =( The year was ending so I had to try ;D I'm a night person so I prefer running at night but I recommend running in the morning when the sun starts to come up because it gives you so much energy it's much better than at night but I just can't get up in the morning to run (next year's resolution =D) I also recommend not running to much if you're not use to it because I an now injured in my hip area because of wanting to run faster and also because I was running to much to fast for my weight (I'm a little over what I sould weigh and my tendens and knees suffer quite a bit with that but you won't have that problem, I am certain) I also love those jackets that are "plasticky" they just keep my chest warm because when you sweat in your chest area and the cold gets to it you will be sick the next day. That's a thing I lernt on the 3rd day. At the moment I'm taking care of my leg and not running but I want to go today for 5km or maybe 10 =) which was what I was doing 2 times per week (mixed in with 5k) before I had my ingery. I also started like you even though I ran 8k on the tredmill running outside has nothing on the tredmill =D If you'd like I can do a video on it. Most important don't over do it and run for fun. There will be days that you will run and run =D Have a great Christmas and sorry for the gigantic comment. It's just something I realy love to do.
I worked at one of the venues for Madonna's MDNA tour a few years ago (first female headliner at this new-ish arena) and she definitely makes her show quite the experience. I hope the cold medicine works and that a good night's rest does the trick. What was the nail color you were wearing?
Oh, I forgot to say: Book 2, wahoo! I got The Glam Guide a few weeks ago and enjoyed reading it while hearing your voice - I was most looking forward to the section on setting goals and planning. Great stuff, Fleur!
Running- I make goals for how my distance will increase so I will be like this week I have to do 3 runs of 5kms but next week going to increase to 7kms
We need the jingles!!!!!
Bring back the jingle! Hated that you didn't last year. Bring it back cause Christmas is the perfect time for cheerful cheesiness.
Agreed!!
yes!
Beautifully written🙋🏼
Let's also remember that showing a bit of midriff and cleavage doesn't make you unclassy, please. It's just about personal taste.
+Moesha O'Donkor that's why I said she thinks about never being "overly showy" or "over the top". Some in moderation is just fine. My message just said that Fleur is conscious of being careful about where to draw the line and you can tell she puts thought into her clothing choices.
We Need the jingle!😍
You just seem absolutely lovely. Seriously! You remind me of Princess Kate, in that you're a very high-powered person, but you are so gracious, and kind. Thank you for sharing!
I was sooo ready for the jingles :(
you just ooze class, you are such a beautiful person inside and out. you have the most beautiful heart and soul and really shines through your personality. also your hair looks amazing.

I love the outfit you wore for the Madonna concert! The colors and details in the top are so pretty.
Fleur that crop top is BEAUTIFUL. Wow wow wow. I'm so excited about your second book - congrats!

You have a flat in London?? How long have you had it, and are you going to have it for a while or just a specific period of time?

Good music! Helps me to have a 90 minutes to 120 minutes run :) Just enjoy the air and the silence of the nature. Really is amazing :3
