She may not like the name more so for this product because she also does not like the product- for the NARS debate- she is biased. We are all biased against certain things. And it isn't as though she said she didn't like the word sex. She may just not like it for the name of a product. The problem isn't the wording. The issue is that some are making assumptions about her, as though they know her well personally.

Totally agree on the "better than sex" mascara! The name is inappropriate, and the product is icky. I received it as a gift item with a purchase. I tried it a few times and it just made my lashes clumpy, flaked, not good at all. So totally agree! You're the first UA-cam channel I subscribed to for reasons you should be proud of, 1) you seem very sweet and proper. I hate listen to curse words and just generally foul mouth stuff and dress appropriately. A good example for young ladies. So good for you!!! 2) I really enjoy your tutorials!!! I absolutely love the St Tropez In Shower tan! I will never use another gradual tan! I really notice the colour straight away and if you use a light scrub every other day it fades evenly. Always push the excess water off of your body first so you don't streak or feel as cold. Honestly, I love it and I'm pretty hard to please when it comes to tan 😊
so agreeing with you on the two faced better than sex mascara, it smudged on me so badly EVERY TIME in any kind of weather condition!!! So disappointed with it and it was really expensive too!!
I tried the "they're real" eyeliner by Benefit and really didn't like it at all! I found it really difficult to apply (it's quite clumpy) and didn't find the colour pay-off to be very good nor the staying power, which was a shame because I really wanted to love it!
I found the opposite with removing, even with an eye primer it wouldn't stay on my oily eyelids! :( it was clumpy and sometimes you open it and loads has come out already ,

I really hope they don't discontinue it :( I've seen quite a few negative reviews on blogs/UA-cam and don't think it has been a very popular product. I do think it's definitely a tanner that you need to start from a really good base with, with regards to exfoliation. I always use scrub gloves rather than a body scrub the day before I know I want to start using it, so that I have a smooth base. Maybe that is why it develops so evenly and lasts so well on me, but everyone's skin type is different, so who knows.....

It's a great serum that I really do believe you can see results! Clinique also does a good one, the Clinique smart custom range is great in particular the eye cream. They will usually give you quite a large sample to try so maybe try before you buy! Good luck!x
Try the Benefit Stay don't Stray eyeshadow primer!! It's my favorite! It has the opacity of let's say a MAC Soft Ochre paint pot but it evens out your kids and keeps the shadow on perfectly without being greasy or drying. Just perfect!!
Eye products don't really contain SPF because a general SPF stings when it enters the eye and the proximity of product on your lid...could slide in the eye. I do totally agree with you about ageing around the eye though! But I feel like most people would at some point get product in their eye and then complain the product burns and stings them so manufacturers would just avoid it.
Nilens jord means earth of the Nile - it is a Danish brand and it started with a bronzer in an terra-cotta jar - and its branching out and getting bigger and bigger here in Denmark....
The Too Faced mascara is my holy grail... Voluminous, extends my lashes, holds curl, and never ends up on my face. So interesting how products react to people differently!

Fleur try the foundation mixed with a radiance primer (like the Dior Glow Maximiser) and also a bit of the Clarins instant light radiance boosting complexion base. I know it sounds like a faff but it's the BEST combination for dewy coverage without it feeling heavy at all. You only need a dot of the Extra Comfort foundation, and the Clarins Instant Light Base is wonderful (Champagne 02 colour). Hope that helps! Xx
I totally agree with you about the blusher. I was really looking forward to using it as the colour that I bought was so pretty but it applies in a really patchy way and I can't blend it without moving my makeup underneath. Great idea about using it without foundation on. I will see what it looks like then before I chuck it.

The in shower tan seems to work on different skins because with me and my mum it works perfectly and fades perfectly but some of my friends used it and it have them no colour what so ever !

Same experience here with the Better Than Sex mascara! Seeing all the excitement around it I almost started feeling like my tube (or my lashes, even) was faulty!
Always enjoy your disappointing products videos- it's good to hear the bad as well as the good & you are always fair & intelligent in your comments. I've often thought the same about eye products & SPF- from what I understand, the reason more brands don't include SPF in their eye products is that SPF can be an irritant especially to the delicate eye area. x
The tarte lights camera flashes mascara! I have very long eyelashes which is probably why it didn't work but I saw no difference and it flaked all over my face. I wanted to love it but it was a big no
+Brenda I have somewhat short, sparse lashes, and this mascara didn't work for me either ): It's like the bristles took forever to cover my hairs and there was no drama. Sad cause I'm pretty sure Fleur loves that one )x
I had the same problem with the TooFaced mascara, but as soon as i powdered my under eyes really good, the mascara didn't transfer anymore. Now it works perfectly :)
Fleur used to put a "What I'm wearing" subheading in her description, but she doesn't seem to do it anymore... This is a fantastic look and I'd love to know the lipstick and eyeshadow!

I ended up returning the Rollerlash mascara. It really didn't do much for volume and my eyelashes are too long and heavy for it to actually hold them in a curl. I was so disappointed.
I've been disappointed in the Kiehl's midnight recovery oil. Wanted to love it. Smells absolutely lush. But I didn't think it hydrated my skin that well or left it looking any different
I must agree with you, that mascara from Benefit really is crummy! The commercials they made really set a high bar (so does the name) but it smudges and flakes! I'm glad I only had a sample.
thank you for the video. a product failure for me was new maybelline lash sensation. it made my lashes looked wavy not straight. et cant fix it once it set. hard set. the japanese mascara are more worth it
Better than sex is my favourite ever mascara. Best I've ever tried in my opinion. Seen a few say they hated it. Works differently fr everyone but I think it's great.

The Better Than Sex mascara flakes a bit on my, but nothing too much. I really love the effect it gives me, so I can deal with a few flakes at the end of the day, but I can see why someone wouldn't like it
Wow, I'm totally surprised that you disliked the maybelline push up lashes! I bought it to try out for Thanksgiving and I got a ton of complements on how long it made my eyelashes look. People were surprised when I told them they weren't fake lashes. I didn't notice a ton of fall out until the very end of the day :/ Maybe I just got a good tube of it or something. Haha. Loved the video as usual though! :)
Oh Fleur - THANK YOU, I really dislike the "better than sex" mascara for the same reason. It is terrible, along with it's name. Oh and the reason there are not many eye products with SPF is because it irritates the eye. Eyes would "water" a lot.
Tbh my first impression of Too Faced chocolate bar eyeshadow palette is a little bit dissapointing. I didn't feel like it is worth the hype. I mean it's great but plenty of the shimmer shades are very similar and the non shimmer shades isn't that pigmented. Like the dark purpleish glitter one is not very pigmented and the glitter just falls down my face instead of appear on my eyelids. Both with brush and finger application. Oh well maybe I just need to work with it more ☺️
Great video! I absolutely love the better than sex mascara! :O my main three disappointing products are Rimmel London exaggerate eyeshadow primer (like blobby dried glue!), benefits benetint (impossible to blend on cheeks and drying on lips) and Revlon colorstay foundation in normal/dry skin (patchy, makes my skin even more dry!, literally see no similarity to Estée Lauder double wear foundation at all!) xx

Benefit Push Up Liner, total rubbish! And devastatingly, MAC cremepuff makes me look washed out / makes me teeth look yellow too 😫😫😫 I still have it, every now and then I swatch it and "sigh" for what never could be 😞 x
The Nilens Jordan lip gloss has the same packaging as the old Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Makeup. That color also looks identical to VS Wet. It was very gray tinted on my lips too. Thanks for sharing your opinion.
The first aid beauty regular facial cleanser! Claims to be a brand safe for sensitive skin but I have rather normal skin and it still Burned my face terribly.
the melted lip lacquers look so cute when they're swatched but they do not look nice when applied!!! they smudge so badly on me and feather regardless of whether i'm wearing a lip liner or not. it's a shame because they're damn expensive.
I got suckered into buying that benefit primer too- I think the product is decent but the applicator is awful, it does not feel like a finger! I have recently purchased the loreal lash architect mascara and I really want to love it but the brush picks up SO much product!!! and then trying to distribute it so that my lashes don't clump is such an effort. thankfully i bought it on sale as loreal is actually a bit pricey in australia
I love the better than sex mascara!! I've been using it since it released and it my go to! Absolutely love it. However, in the many ones I've had, I did have one tube that seemed smudgy like you described. But I only had that's issue with one tube so I think it's a defective thing. Maybe try a new tube and see if that helps?

Smash box has a version of that eyeliner and it is awesome! It is the exact same packaging but the formula is so much better and works great

My suggestion for the nude lipgloss is to use it with a brighter lipstick on top and mix them together. Love these types of videos

I love the St Tropez in shower tanner! I find it so quick and convenient, it doesn't stink of biscuits and develops to a lovely natural colour.
And I find it wears off evenly with no patchiness/streaking!

The best age-defying serums I have tried are by Clinique and Estée Lauder! Not too expensive and really really work! Mum now loves them too! X

I completely agree with your opinion on the St Tropez Gradual tanner! Glad to know I wasn't the only one who felt like a lemon standing in my shower, freezing cold! Ha! xx
The in shower tan seems to work on different skins because with me and my mum it works perfectly and fades perfectly but some of my friends used it and it have them no colour what so ever !

Same experience here with the Better Than Sex mascara! Seeing all the excitement around it I almost started feeling like my tube (or my lashes, even) was faulty!
Always enjoy your disappointing products videos- it's good to hear the bad as well as the good & you are always fair & intelligent in your comments. I've often thought the same about eye products & SPF- from what I understand, the reason more brands don't include SPF in their eye products is that SPF can be an irritant especially to the delicate eye area. x
The tarte lights camera flashes mascara! I have very long eyelashes which is probably why it didn't work but I saw no difference and it flaked all over my face. I wanted to love it but it was a big no

I had the same problem with the TooFaced mascara, but as soon as i powdered my under eyes really good, the mascara didn't transfer anymore. Now it works perfectly :)
Fleur used to put a "What I'm wearing" subheading in her description, but she doesn't seem to do it anymore... This is a fantastic look and I'd love to know the lipstick and eyeshadow!

I ended up returning the Rollerlash mascara. It really didn't do much for volume and my eyelashes are too long and heavy for it to actually hold them in a curl. I was so disappointed.
I've been disappointed in the Kiehl's midnight recovery oil. Wanted to love it. Smells absolutely lush. But I didn't think it hydrated my skin that well or left it looking any different
I must agree with you, that mascara from Benefit really is crummy! The commercials they made really set a high bar (so does the name) but it smudges and flakes! I'm glad I only had a sample.
thank you for the video. a product failure for me was new maybelline lash sensation. it made my lashes looked wavy not straight. et cant fix it once it set. hard set. the japanese mascara are more worth it
Better than sex is my favourite ever mascara. Best I've ever tried in my opinion. Seen a few say they hated it. Works differently fr everyone but I think it's great.

The Better Than Sex mascara flakes a bit on my, but nothing too much. I really love the effect it gives me, so I can deal with a few flakes at the end of the day, but I can see why someone wouldn't like it

Wow, I'm totally surprised that you disliked the maybelline push up lashes! I bought it to try out for Thanksgiving and I got a ton of complements on how long it made my eyelashes look. People were surprised when I told them they weren't fake lashes. I didn't notice a ton of fall out until the very end of the day :/ Maybe I just got a good tube of it or something. Haha. Loved the video as usual though! :)
Oh Fleur - THANK YOU, I really dislike the "better than sex" mascara for the same reason. It is terrible, along with it's name.
Oh and the reason there are not many eye products with SPF is because it irritates the eye. Eyes would "water" a lot.

Tbh my first impression of Too Faced chocolate bar eyeshadow palette is a little bit dissapointing. I didn't feel like it is worth the hype. I mean it's great but plenty of the shimmer shades are very similar and the non shimmer shades isn't that pigmented. Like the dark purpleish glitter one is not very pigmented and the glitter just falls down my face instead of appear on my eyelids. Both with brush and finger application. Oh well maybe I just need to work with it more ☺️

Great video! I absolutely love the better than sex mascara! :O my main three disappointing products are Rimmel London exaggerate eyeshadow primer (like blobby dried glue!), benefits benetint (impossible to blend on cheeks and drying on lips) and Revlon colorstay foundation in normal/dry skin (patchy, makes my skin even more dry!, literally see no similarity to Estée Lauder double wear foundation at all!) xx
love how my eyelashes look with the too faced better than sex but I also had issues with it transferring under my eyes. wish there was a waterproof version

Benefit Push Up Liner, total rubbish! And devastatingly, MAC cremepuff makes me look washed out / makes me teeth look yellow too 😫😫😫 I still have it, every now and then I swatch it and "sigh" for what never could be 😞 x

The Nilens Jordan lip gloss has the same packaging as the old Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Makeup. That color also looks identical to VS Wet. It was very gray tinted on my lips too. Thanks for sharing your opinion.
The first aid beauty regular facial cleanser! Claims to be a brand safe for sensitive skin but I have rather normal skin and it still Burned my face terribly.

the melted lip lacquers look so cute when they're swatched but they do not look nice when applied!!! they smudge so badly on me and feather regardless of whether i'm wearing a lip liner or not. it's a shame because they're damn expensive.

I got suckered into buying that benefit primer too- I think the product is decent but the applicator is awful, it does not feel like a finger! I have recently purchased the loreal lash architect mascara and I really want to love it but the brush picks up SO much product!!! and then trying to distribute it so that my lashes don't clump is such an effort. thankfully i bought it on sale as loreal is actually a bit pricey in australia

I love the better than sex mascara!! I've been using it since it released and it my go to! Absolutely love it. However, in the many ones I've had, I did have one tube that seemed smudgy like you described. But I only had that's issue with one tube so I think it's a defective thing. Maybe try a new tube and see if that helps?
I felt the same way about the too faced mascara- Smear City!
