I really liked this version specially Celine’s part 🔥 it was ICONIC
But I think it would’ve been better with less autotune.
I think it's best not to compare both versions BC:
1. Jamie Foxx and the artist paid tribute to MJ and even included Lionel Richie.
2. It's not a competition when it comes to charity work. People need to understand that there will be a change in music versions depending on the era we live in, and at that time Hiphop, Pop and RnB were at its peak then.
3. It's all for love and support.

I think this one got panned a little more than was warranted...it doesn't match the original (but then, what ever could?) but there were still some really great artists who turned in stellar performances, and I liked the addition of the rap segment.
It also had the distinction of including Tony Bennett--one of the last men standing if not THE last of the Crooners, a peer of Sinatra, Bing Crosby and Perry Como. The first generation of recording artists with access to the necessary quality of tech that they could sing and be heard as if up close rather than having to project like an opera singer, they invented pop stardom as we know it today.

I mean, it wouldn't really rhyme with "I" anyway because the matching word is "lives". So "me" is better because it can carry better across all the styles
