- Hello, my darling friends!
So here it is, the first-ever vlog (of many) for my channel. I had this idea during lockdown 2020, where I would travel around the UK (and hopefully further in the future) and get inspiration for building in The Sims. But as we all know, we couldn't travel... so 2022 is where this new adventure begins.
We visit the beautiful harbour town of St Ives. One of my favourite places in Cornwall. We stay in a gorgeous little fisherman's cottage, explore around the streets, climb a cliff to see a chapel, see porpoises, drink lots of beer, fly my drone over the harbour, visit the Tate Art Gallery and just have a good explore around.
These vlogs will come out monthly, and they are here to give me inspiration and hopefully do the same for you guys too! Sit back, have a cuppa tea and join me on this adventure :D

I'm totally overwhelmed at the reaction to this vlog. Thank you guys so much for supporting this new venture into this channel. We're going to create some great things into The Sims from this, so don't for one second think I'm leaving that behind! I just needed to grow into something fresh for the channel, and I'm putting my heart and soul into this new series this year, and I'm so thankful to have you beautiful buggers along for the journey

Yessss that cottage was soooo gorgeous. The layout was different but I really liked it, would love to see it in the sims. Ooo and add a family to it. You know I'd love to see you make yourself as a sim, i would snag that off the gallery in a heart beat! ❤ also, ummm your hair has been spot on.

I just wanted to say thank you for sharing this trip with us, as someone with very limited mobility who would never be able to wander around like that it was so nice to be with you as you did. I felt like I was right there with you. I was super impressed with the drone footage, it was so clear and just stunning. Thank you for taking me on a weekend away with you 😀

Aden this feels like way beyond a vlog, this is like a hand-crafted documentary!? The effort you've gone to and how much you shared from this trip was so so lovely - it really felt like we got to experience it with you. And those drone shots just about brought a tear to my eye!

I’m normally not of the vlogs but I really liked yours! I think it’s just your personality!
I've been second guessing my decision to move back to the UK as I've been feeling very lonely and isolated since I got back, and struggling to fit into my new job (the job that allowed me to come back here with sponsorship, so I feel like I should feel lucky to have it!); but this vlog has soothed my weary little soul. It's reminded me that I can go adventure to places like this and just enjoy my own company and drink good beer. Honestly this channel and community are always such a comfort. I'm looking forward to seeing where you go next!

There is a German word, fernweh which roughly translates to missing places you’ve never been. I sadly have never traveled to the UK, but somehow when I watched your video I began to feel this intense sense of nostalgia. Like there’s a memory lodged somewhere in my subconscious of this place. Thank you so very much for sharing this with all of us. And I can’t wait to revisit in your builds!

The chaos during the house tour was just hilarious! I think this is one of the best ideas a Sims Creator has had. Seeing you arrive at the fisherman’s village was so cool! I know it’s the other way around but it’s as if you built the entire St. Ives. Loved this vlog and can’t wait for the next DMD!

It's an absolute stretch but I'd love to see you venture up to the north West, some amazing architecture in and around the Liverpool city region, loved this vlog though Aden, already a natural, can't wait to see more of it 💙

Grabbed my popcorn. 1 hour, 4 minutes and 12 seconds of relaxation ahead. I’m 2 seconds in and it already feels like a well done movie. Love this for our community. 🥰
Aden! Thank you for taking me out to cornwall!!! It felt like you taking me there. I loved the views and the drone shots and the music you used in the vlog. I felt at ease and enjoyed this lovely village. Why don't you come round one time to Deventer in Hollland. It is like small Amsterdam, with lovely Dutch houses. You feel inspired there. I run a BnB and will let you stay a couple of days if you like for free. Just because I am a huge fan!
I'm not going to lie, the way this was shot and composed, the drone shots, it made me tear up a couple of times. It was so nice to experience St Ives, I love this for you. I'm currently in the hospital recovering from ruptured disc removal surgery, so it was nice to get out. Thank you Aden.

Your sims videos always are great quality. I am DEFINITELY not surprised you came out with such a masterpiece! There are vloggers I’ve watched who’ve been vlogging for years, and their quality is ehh. But yours?! Absolutely loved EVERYTHING. The commentary is hilarious and wholesome. You've simultaneously made me miss my hometown (Savannah, Georgia, USA) AND Oxford, UK. I am now in desperate need of a salty breeze, fresh caught sea food, narrow old roads, and cobblestone streets. ..and maybe some 300 year old uneven stairs that are impossible to take with a couple of pints in me!!

I grew up about a twenty minute car ride from the beach and I loved to go there walk around. My family used to rent out a house for the summer. I’m really familiar with New England coastal architecture like the houses that shipped in Cats and Dogs so it’s really cool to see the inspiration for your vision for Brindleton Bay. Last year I moved six hours west so I haven’t been the beach in a long time. Heading the seagulls made me so homesick. I’m so excited for this series!

Love this! I grew up in Scotland and we used to take our yearly holidays in Cornwall instead of going abroad. I vividly remember St Ives and Penzance, and watching this has brought back so many memories.
Thank you ever so much Aden for sharing. St Ives is a place in a book series I love called the Cynster series by Stephanie Laurens (Regency Romance). I love UK, its history, countryside, and unique buildings. Cannot wait to come back for a prolonged and more indepth visit.. love your voice, and soul Aden... big fan!

I love Cornwall. My ancestors were from there, and I still have a Cornish last name that I love and am very proud of. There’s something about..the land there. I find it so moving. Had a little cry watching those beautiful drone shots. Thank you for this Aden, I haven’t been able to go for the last two years because of obvious reasons and it was just such a beautiful breath of fresh air to see it and experience it again in such a sweeping beautiful way.

Oh, it's ever so quaint, Aden. I was so anticipating it, and it was all I had hoped. Great content, sir, I feel as if I've had a getaway right here from my chair. It's fortunate since my feet kill after work. Exactly how I approach a tour, tho, walk till you drop, then eat and drink so you sleep like the dead. 😅
I think my favorites were the drone shots of the sea and the dear little church with the saints quietly resting. Haha, at the other church when you mentioned the hat on the grave and the bottles strew about, I thought, "Well, someone's had a wake, then? And the warden might have taken part, saving the cleanup for later? One never knows..." The English villages have so much unique charm. I wish Blue could've come, if he travels well. I'm sure he was comfy at home by the fire with Tom.

Aden!! Next time you’re down please pop into the Watermill Inn, In Lelant it’s not far from st Ives only a 5/10 min bus journey or a 10/20 min walk from st erth train station. It’s such a lovely beautiful pub you could get so much inspiration for your builds. Also if I’m working you can have a cheeky pint free 😉

Also, (babbling, sorry), on the level of Sims-- there have been times I didn't really understand your choices made when you build, (not because it wasnt lovely, but because I am very much American) and now I see the architecture around you, and it is f'ing SPOT ON. Especially the Brindleton Bay builds!

I'm a little late to the party but I absolutely love this. I felt quite emotional at times watching this. Cornwall was the last place I went on holiday with my dad before he passed away and this video brought back so many happy memories. Cornwall is my favourite place in the world. Its beauty never fails to take my breath away. It has been a number of years since my last visit but watching this made me feel as though I was there with you. Thank you :)
This town makes me think of Saint-Malo, a town in Brittany, France. You definitely need to come and see it! The Mont Saint Michel in Normandy too, you would love it 👌
I went to that Belgium restaurant back last year. My mum got so pissed after having tasters of the insane amount of beers on their menu, as we left she thought I was the waitress & asked why I was following her. We stayed in Tregenna castle, beautiful exterior…interior was fine…Watching this made me actually smile several times, proud of you & can see how much you appreciate what you’re doing. Plus I do love hearing the West Country accent (I’m a Bristol Bumpkin) Proper lush me babber, well done, can’t wait to see more of everything you do x

This video is wonderful. It is supremely intentional in the layout, what you chose to show up, how you chose to show it, etc. Very thoughtful, and very real! This was so bloody nice, also being in a country that still has heavy restrictions it was so refreshing to go to a pub vicariously through you, with no masks and people just enjoying themselves.
