Looking at it, seems like it can be assembled with basic tools.. with strong wind, the shelter may need other mechanisms to keep it stay.

I find this product to be great! I agree that it struggles in high winds but I have found a solution. It is equiped for tiedowns.
Good review on the hammock stand but for what most of us use hammocks for, how much space do you have sleeping in one of these as someone who is taller than 6 feet tall and sleeps on an angle? Does it work with a ridge line and bug net?
You can sleep very comfortable if you expand it out to the wider setting but the smaller setting works fine and I have taken a few naps in it. Im sure you could get the bug net working with it I am just not familiar with those devices.
I now keep it in my bedroom for a great place to change things up when I’m working. Tbh I would recommend but I also didn’t have to pay for it so make sure you can justify the price. Have a great day!
I paid for mine. I am 5ft 11 and 205lbs at moment. I sleep at an angle, which I think actually works best with this stand. You could use bug net depending on the style you have. I also agree that the canopy is nothing special unless it is perfect no wind day and need to block sun.

Crazy it already broke on you. This looks very cool, but i dont like how much plastic is has.
I have the Kammok poertable stand and its 100% aluminum. It only uses nylon plastic to act as bushings for the sliders, the sliders themselves are also metal.
It can't handle wind?

Sure, the website seems to be a fake one. Then the FB add is dubious. I will wait to buy it through the Amazon portal.
It is real and it is good. Only catch I have had is it can be tricky to figure out the perfect tension depending on the hammock you use be it there's or your own.
