Gentleman Reserve Privee is more or less my least favourite of the line (Im not counting Gentleman Society that I dislike), to me it smells quite similar to the EDP in the black bottle with less balsamic touches and vanilla, but with instead a blast of hazelnut that I don't love. I really tried to get that boozy whisky aspect people talk about and never really could, maybe one day. That being said I agree it's a remarkable fragrance that offers something bold, if you like Iris fragrances that go in a gourmand direction there arent many more that go beyond this, maybe Dior Homme Parfum and that's about it (if you manage to find a bottle at all) . Looking forward to wearing it a bit more in the cold seasons.

This video made me finally pull the trigger on buying Gentleman Reserve Privée. It's been near the top of my list for a quite a while. To know it's Fragrance Apprentice approved....made the decision to buy it so much easier.
Probably the best openening of all fragrance videos on YouTunbe ! And then, in the development, it got even more highly inspired! Only... that Givenchy cologne... I don't share your enthusiasm. It is a just a wood log sprinkled with some Iris petals. But, it is all a matter of personal likings ! Great video, nonetheless !
I had been interested in this fragrance for a long time, I could not test it in person, then I found it on sale and I bought it. It's good. I'm still not entirely sold on it, though. I find it very similar to all the Dior Hommes (Original, Intense, Parfum) which I all own (don't ask me why) and still prefer to this. However, I have yet to properly test it on skin. The season still hasn't started in Central Europe. Anyways, great video, the intro had me in stitches, love that shirt. Cheers from Czech republic.

Hello, I love your channel & have learned so much from your videos. Because of your guidance, I have made several blind buys based on your reviews without disappointment or regrets. Though I haven't near the collection that you have, I'm proud to say that my fragrance count is around the 200 mark, with approximately 2/3 being designer & 1/3 being from Indy/Niche houses. I don't know what an apprentice to an Apprentice would be called, but that is who I am. I completely agree with your assessment of this fragrance & made the purchase when I first put it to my nose when contacted by my broker that she just got it in, though I would add that the opening not only is amazing & complex, but would add that it seems to have a "Whiskey Bite" that other similar boozy fragrances just don't have and as with whiskey, it mellows down to its mid & base notes but still maintains a slight lingering reminder that it is still a whisky fragrance. I apologize for not being able to understand what was said, but at the 10:00 mark you mentioned another whiskey fragrance that has a serious longevity that "you have to shower to get it off of you", could you tell me Who & What it is again? So crazy you uploaded this video , I’m currently wearing this , which I haven’t worn it in a few months , but man everytime I wear this I think man this is sooo fn good . I’m some ways I prefer it over Dior homme parfum . The undertone of whiskey in this fragrance really brings it all together beautifully. It’s nutty powdery slightly sweet with a beautiful boozyness to it . Masterpiece
I've given this fragrance as a gift to a friend I was trying to get into fragrances and he became hooked after smelling this. It's so incredible, I personally love it, and that opinion seems to be shared by everyone I've had smell it.

Gentleman Reserve Privee and Gentleman EDP happen to be two of my favorite frags in my collection. The only thing i like about winter, is being able to wear these frags again... Star Man Nebula by Fragrance World is a banger of a clone for Pure Malt if you haven't run across it. I own both, and it is uncanny how close it is, and it's cheap.
I just ordered a bottle of Star Man Nebula this past weekend for $20 on Amazon....can't wait to get it! I've never smelled the OG Pure Malt, but it seems to have achieved cult status in the fragrance community, so I decided to jump on it with the price being so inexpensive.
Just went to buy it at Macys because of your review just now, because we both love Milisime Imperial not that it smells like MI. Can’t wait to wear it a full 24 hours

My favourite of the line definitely but there's something a bit too synthetic about the range for me. That said I did buy a decant of this and haven't bought any of the others (except the different original Givenchy Gentleman) so do want to give it a chance and who knows I may end up loving it like you do. I don't feel my taste is that similar to yours (though I appreciate your appreciation of the amazing Taylor of old bond street sandalwood cologne) and instead I find Mr Smelly (sorry!) a much closer match for my taste, which tends to be classic gentlemanly. Anyway thanks for the video. I'll give this one more wearings!
I am so glad that autumn finaly arrived so that i can rock reserve privee and pasha de cartier parfum, for me both are 10/10. I also really enjoy Dior Fahrenheit le Parfum and Narcisso Rodriguez blue noir parfum.
While I agree with almost everything you said, I think that this kind of scents benefit from being powerful, more projection and longer performance in general will turn it to a great masterpiece, this one in particular with DHP performance would make it sit in much higher place, as for now it leaves you wanting more and searching for it very early. Keep the good work.
Werthers is definitely just as American as it is British I eat em, my mom eats them, my grandmother eats them it's basically known as old ppl candy here in the states but it's my favorite. One of the most popular candies

Reserve Privee has actually gotten me a few compliments. That rarely happens. Dior is too much lipstick. This one is a perfect blend. Easy for the women to like. Easy for me to like.
Would you say Givenchy gentleman reserve privée and Dior Homme Intense would be used for the same type of occasions? They are not same but i feel have some similarities.
If Jeremy did fragrance consultations, the result of the consultation would depend on which day it was and if he was only "very", og "Fuck shait"-burnt out that day. And also what his dealer had in stock the night before.
I was about to buy Reserve Privé, but eventually decided to go for a Xerjoff 3 times the price. And 3 times less compliments. At best. You get what you pay for. 🤓
Surprisingly it was the Boisee version that got me out of Fragrance Purgatory. I as recently as two days ago purchased Velours Boise from Jacques Fath b/c I needed a whiskey frag.....now I have to get my other favorite Nose's (Natalie Lorson) homage au whiskey😂 If Quintin Bisch uses a whiskey note in the next Le Male I could probably retire adding scents to my collection.
This is like standing in a 1930's dimly lit bar with a whiskey and having a lot of elegant women wearing thick lipstick around you, engulfing you in a sweet powdery bubble.

For me, a lot of them fall off a cliff after the opening is gone.
I love wearing it.

I would try most wanted parfum. I was between these two and argue TMWP is more mass appealing and really good also.
