- it's finally here! the 3rd demo for the 06 project! whoooo! this has to be the longest video i ever made on this channel averaging in at about 30 minutes, but that's mostly because i decided to everything in one video rather then do 8 separate videos. in in this video i'll be covering 6 stages and two boss fights enjoy!

You see this is the type of stuff that restores my faith in humanity. I really honestly think this project has finally brought redemption to Sonic 06. this here proves that all it needed was less clunky gameplay and it would have been fine. The stages are awesome! Plus the fact that there's a lot less 2d areas in the levels makes me a lot happier. I feel like the 2d areas break the immersion most of the time. I do enjoy the 3d platforming though.

Needs significantly more "It's no use!" in the Silver fight, but god damn this is amazing.
I think it's safe to say that Generations was given to us, secretly, not just as an awesome anniversary title, but as a patch for all the flawed Sonic games of the past.
They only gave us one level each and some of them were fine originally, not to mention completely different from the way they were portrayed in Generations. Not really a patch haha

About 2 years later people now call Generations garbage, even though it got very good reviews when it came out...the Sonic fanbase can't decide anymore.
I had no idea the stages that were made specifically for the adventure formula could be so perfectly implemented with the boost formula quite interesting

The fans managed to make Sonic 06 better than the original creators of the game... wow.
+Focused Kick Attack Well, to be fair, they did that by importing the levels into a more polished and stable game from the original creators that was made five years later.
Pac Attack oh? The fans designed the physics of sonic generations? I wasn't aware. What they did was talented yes, but they didn't remake and improve 06 from the ground up.

You know, taking away the context for the levels and just having them flow through each other really kind of gives this Classic Sonic game feel to it. Like, I would genuinly like to see the levels put into a Classic Sonic game. I know that would be incredibly fucking hard but can you imagine Radical Train in 2D? Actually running next to the train and having to save it?
Amazing ! In my opinion, this is how Sonic games should be like.

***** great demo you really put alot of effort into this my only issues are: add fallsigns, and fix the camera in flame core at 15.11 it's hard to tell if the platforms are coming towards sonic zoom it out a little bit so i can both of them and sonic. For the board section in Crisis City make trickramps that lead you upward to the rails you have to be really precise with those jumps. also tweak the light dash pattern in the section section i didn't take it because i kept falling to my death lol. for the platforming section in Crisis City zoom the camera out a little bit so you can see both platforms cuz i made blind jumps sometimes. Radical Train well fix some of the camea's the rest is super!

Mario Tainaka I would say the only thing that would make it better is touch up on the controls a little bit and the graphics. Other than that it is a great demo.

It's sad to say the hackers are better at making Sonic games than Sega. But to be fair the time constraints- whatever they could have released an update fixing everything.
In all fairness they didnt exactly make a better sonic game, they really just lifted elements of a past game and and copy pasted the gameplay. If anything they just tidied it up a bit.

Amazing job, this proves the potential that Sonic 06 had as well as how good Sonic’s personality was in this game. The thing that hindered the audience from seeing sonic’s charm in this game was literally the janky animation combined with the model from Sonic 06. Even the model from sonic 06 has some of the most potential in terms of Sonic designs, the problems with Sonic’s model in 06 mainly deal with the eyes and possibly lankyness. Other than that, Sonic’s model in 06 is arguably better than the adventure models in terms of coloring, shoes, and his quills

It's kind of amazing how well the awful Mach Speed sections translate into normal Generations gameplay.
all you need to add is some lighting. like more red in the volcano stage and more blue in the ice stage. besides that this is the greatest thing ever

This isn't too bad, but for the main levels I would still keep the Adventure style. Mach speed levels I would use this. I would NOT change the model for the realistic looking world to look like the Generations world. Same with the characters. In my opinion, I didn't like how cartoony things started to look after 06. My favorite era for Sonic was everything from the first Sonic Adventure up to Sonic 06. I didn't care much for anything after 06. I'm one of the few haha. I think they should remaster Sonic 06. Fix the glitches, update the graphics, add the things that weren't in the game like Super Sonic and the secret ending, and speed up the characters. This is still pretty cool though. I'm not hating on this by any means. I was just voicing my opinion.
+The Door (TheDoor) Yeah the world was pretty good looking, but I couldn't get past the character designs. That's just me though.
Chris Joseph some say "dont, let this be a lesson to them to learn from and move on," but there's the saying "if it ain't broke don't fix it" and there's plenty of broken with this game. With all the remakes of good games that never needed to be retooled or tweaked, why not bad games?

I prefer this mod over the original Sonic generations. I feel like orignal 06 game has more of a plot. With Generation gameplay, the game is more fun.

1. In Crisis City some of the rails don't let Sonic switch between rails
2. The camera is glitchy, mostly on the HUB world

Hmmm.... Is it at all possible to make the stone doors in Flame Core open UP instead of DOWN or make them shatter/explode? Something that makes them not so time-consuming to get through.

any idiot that says the Boost gameplay mechanics can't work with Sonic Adventure Style Level Design (which 06 basically has) needs to watch this video.
looks fine except the boss fight with "iblis" still has some bits missing.
There is still clear water that I think should be changed to look like actual lava. like his tentacles or those lava plumes he's using to raise the platforms as you go for the killing blow.
also, how can sonic run on lava?
