  • Success,
today I will introduce you to a new addition to the workshop, namely the HECHT GG 3300 gasoline power plant (generator).
I'm not an electrician! So it's a layman's view and a mini review.
In the video you will see the first unpacking, the first start and a small test.
I bought here for info (I'm satisfied with the purchase, so I'm happy to advertise):

    Description of the power plant:
    The HECHT GG 3300 is a medium-sized petrol generator powered by a 7 HP 208cc 4-stroke engine.
On the electrical panel of the generator there is a control analog voltmeter, a pair of classic sockets for connecting 230 V / 50 Hz appliances, among which there is also a safety clamp for connecting the grounding cable. Both sockets are of course protected against overload by a circuit breaker.
Furthermore, there is one DC 12 V socket on the panel for connecting appliances powered by 12 V voltage, which can also be used for charging some types of 12 V accumulators.
However, it is not equipped with charge regulation, so it is necessary to continuously check the charge status of the accumulator and disconnect it in time.
This 12 V socket is also equipped with a fuse.
The permanent power of the central unit is 2600 W, for a short time, for example, the start-up currents of some appliances can be loaded up to a maximum power of 3000 W.
The generator is attached to the base frame using rubber blocks that dampen the transmission of vibrations.
It can be conveniently carried behind this frame, its weight is 46.5 kg.
The level of noise produced is 96 dB.
The generator is equipped with AVR regulation (Automatic Voltage Regulation), which prevents voltage fluctuations when the load of the central office changes.
The power plant has a fuel tank with a volume of 15 l, which will allow approx. 15 hours of continuous operation without the need for refueling.
It is ideal as a backup source in case of calamity, it will also serve well in places where the electrical network is not available.
It can be used, for example, as a backup for powering circulation pumps of some solid fuel boilers, etc.
The output characteristics of the voltage from the power plant are different from the characteristics of the normal electrical network.
Therefore, we strongly recommend consulting the power supply options for some electronic devices (for example, computers, modern TVs, etc.) with their manufacturer or seller.
Some electrical devices can consume several times the normal operating current for a short time when starting up, for appliances such as electric motors and other devices using induction it can be more than three times the normal power consumption for a short time.
As a guide, it is then possible to use the so-called starting coefficient for the calculation, by which it is necessary to multiply the normal power input of the connected appliance.
Then, for example, we will multiply appliances such as a hair dryer, hot air gun, deep fryer, mixer, oven, iron, toaster, vacuum cleaner, table lamp by a factor of 1.
Coefficient 2 usually applies to electric mowers, angle grinders, hedge trimmers, electric saws, washing machines, etc.
For compressors, pressure washers, and concrete mixers, a coefficient of 3 usually applies, for refrigerators, freezers or air conditioners, this coefficient can even exceed the value of 3.
In practice, we can roughly calculate that an appliance with a power input of 600 W and a coefficient of 2 requires a maximum power of the central unit of at least 1,200 W. (The data on the power of the motors are measured at 3,600 rpm.
The machine will not achieve this performance in normal use.
Use the content and engine type data for an accurate engine performance comparison.)
    Weight 46.5 kg
    Hecht 4-stroke engine
    Engine capacity 208 cm3
    Power 7 HP
    Drive type Combustion gasoline engine
    Noise level 96 dB
    Continuous power of 2600 W
    Maximum power 3000 W
    Output voltage 2 x ~230 V / 50 Hz, 1 x =12 V
