Try using Agnimal Candle as a 2nd or 3rd bonfire search target. It’s a level 4 tuner that SS itself when searched. Definitely good if Trudea gets veiler or Impermed so that u can keep going. Or waste 2 Handtraps from your opponent at least.
Could probably just drop the entire Crimson Dragon package on top of it at this point as it just seems like an exploitable choke point most games. I've gotten pretty good mileage out of Luluwalilith(which can get to the other Branded tuners when sent to GY, which go great with Bystial packages) and the SHS boss monster that draws you cards when the opponent activated Spell/Traps. Final Sigma can also be funny but 3500s are becoming more commonplace these days(mostly Chaos Angel, which is honestly better than most level 12s in general when made with a Light+Dark for both protections or with a looping pattern in mind). There's also a bunch of interesting Rank 12s that become more immediately usable when hard made, like the Spider one that banishes a bunch of Special Summoned stuff(Seven Sins?), and everyone's favorite Titan Buster AA-Zeus can also be nice to make BEFORE the Battle Phase(and hard making TY-PHON to avoid its summon lock can also be nifty at times, and gives a way to overlay it INTO Zeus more easily, which is also something you can do with that Spider). For Rank 8s it's mostly going to be Dingirsu(which can attach a banished Legatia, which is funny but not incredibly practical) and Photon Lord/Hope Harbinger for the usual reasons(negates) might also see play in Horus variants.

Wakaushi was always a 1.5 card calamity lock. But the new card also means that there's no reason to play the samurai version anymore. The samurai version's biggest strength was consistently setting up blazar alongside the normal centurion setup so that you could insulate your crimson dragon on the opponent's turn, as well as have a very consistent line to setup blazar + auxila through shifter, or formerly calamity lock as a 1-card combo while every other version required hard opening emblema and shifter.

It’s literally the only way this deck with so many summoning limitations and purposely lousy interruptions can win. Look at white woods and fiendsmith. Those cards are given far more offensive and defensive potential than centurion, whose best offensive effects are a spell-based S-P little knight, and weak summoning destruction effects that are prevented with Ash and droll.

I feel like this deck has been getting support constantly since its release in the OCG. I wish more decks got that kind of treatment.
Memento, vaalmonica and centurion have all gotten the same amount of support in the last 3 core sets. Memento having the most support actually
