  • Jin is proud of his newer more accurate machining for the vintage and scale model engines he builds. And he should be! I think its the best of 10 Microcosm model engines I have.

Always wanted a full-size hit-and-miss engine to play around with

I must admit they do a great job building these model engines.

Looks and sounds good. I only wish the exhaust tips were facing forward than down. On my R31 with the same spark plugs, I found them to get dirty and damage quickly more than larger ones. So might worth to order extra plugs specially if your mixture if very rich with oil

Yeahh!! So glad you’ve got one of Jin’s latest engines, Mr. Thomas 🤙
I love my R33 and R34, but the between the two, my R33 has been my absolute favorite.
I love Jin’s new cam & gear setup on the R33…. I have literally put 18-20 hours of run time on my R33, it only gets smoother and smoother, and idles slower. I need to make another video of mine soon
Congrats on your R33B and Killer
    video!!

Yeah it is something special that's for sure. Did you put grease under the cam gear cover? Or rely on a little oil sneaking down the valve rod guides? Have you needed to adjust the valve clearances?

With all my Microcosm V2’s (R29, R31, R33, & R34) I do not put any oil or grease in the cam chest…. -I run a 30:1 Marvel Mystery Oil & Coleman Camp Fuel and PLENTY of blow-by / bleed-down MM oil gets into the cam chest and crankcase.
Every few hours of running, I lay my engines flywheel side down on a paper towel and let some of the built up oil run out of the crankcase’s breather vent hole.
-I love how Jin creatively made the crankcase breather hole above the flywheel in the location of a full size Harley V twin engine’s crank timing “peep hole”

Forgot to mention: only on my R31 have I had to adjust the valves.
My R29 Knucklehead must have 60 hours run time and never have had to adjust valves.

Thanks, great info. I know Marvel Mystery oil is the one to have, but its a mystery where to get it here in New Zealand. I will have to Amazon it

@@ThomasPCGuruENGINES-definitely Amazon Marvel Mystery Oil; it’s all I run in all of my miniature engines, and worth every penny. Truly is great lubricant and all my mini engines love it. Smells great too

At least the AI robots in Jin's shop were not "WOKE" and knew that a male and female robot were a good match ;)

Lol, "woke" robots. I knew that viewers of this channel are 99.8% men, mostly over 30, so...no whingers watching :)
