I was one of hundreds of Maltese extras in Gladiator 2. One day Denzel was just two meters away from me. Could not take my eyes of him!
Super!
Me too, was mesmerising to be on the same set with him, Pascal, Nielsen and the others.
lol he does have that charisma and charm that automatically draws you in, just one look and you melt, lolol right? I commend you for having strength to keep your focus on your job in the movie!!!
Pedro is so beautiful I could just look at him all day...add talent, and kindness and he's almost too much to handle.
It's nice to see Fred get a chance to talk. I loved him on White Lotus.
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of watching Gladiator 2, and it was a beautifully nostalgic experience that exceeded my expectations. The film pays respectful homage to the original while introducing fresh elements that remain true to its tone. It is grand, elegant, sophisticated, and noble-ultimately delivering a deeply satisfying cinematic experience.
Denzel Washington delivered a masterful performance, effortlessly commanding every scene he was in. The new lead was an excellent casting choice; rather than attempting to overshadow the original hero, he brought skill and an endearing innocence to the role, making him instantly likable. While I appreciated the screen time he was given, I found myself wishing for more scenes with Pedro Pascal, whose presence added gravitas to the film.
One slight drawback was the CGI during the sequences with the fighting monkeys, which could have been more polished. Additionally, while the emperors were portrayed well, their goofy moments felt out of place at times-I would have preferred more wit and intellectual depth in their characterization.
On the other hand, the visual splendor was remarkable, with grand set designs and breathtaking cinematography that elevated the film to an epic scale. The princess character was as noble and captivating as we remembered her from the first movie, a testament to both the actress's talent and the script's respect for continuity. The costume design team also delivered magnificently, capturing the richness and authenticity of the era.
In the end, Gladiator 2 is undeniably worth watching, balancing reverence for the original with a confident stride into new territory. Fans of the first film will find much to admire, and newcomers will be swept up in its epic scope.
Me encanta que tremendazo actor haya nacido en Chile...aplauzos y mis tremendos respeto por Pedro
es necesario recalcar que nació en Chile, es tan basura ese nacionalismo exacerbado, absolutamente insoportable
I think that Pedro Pascal is the hardest working actor in Hollywood right now and I’m happy for him - the deserved recognition, success and his dreams to come true. And starring in Gladiator II is definitely one of them.
It’s a pleasure to see Denzel and Pedro working together again :)
As for looking his best - what about Oberyn’s “mustard robe, that made him look like a god”? 😂
I have one question though. Why was Pedro’s hand tattoo covered? 🤔 Was this interview shot during his normal on set time?
too bad he's woke asf
@@madcyborg1822 how so?
@@Dave1507 he's been extremely vocal about his support for the 🌈 community, including dressing in women's clothing. His brother is also you know what, and has now become a "woman". He's also unmarried and it is heavily rumored he is bi. He's also acted in various 🌈 movies, one of which came out this year.
@@madcyborg1822 Have you ever looked up the definition of 'woke'?
@@Dave1507 I understand what the original term means, I'm referring to the actual definition people have in mind when you say that word. Regardless, my point still stands, Pascal is a little 🌈boy.
Loved the interview 🫶
36:16 Joseph Quinn❤
Inspired casting to get Paul Mescal as lead - intelligent, talented and physically commanding yet emotionally vulnerable. Also young enough to do Gladiator 3 as Ridley intends to complete the trilogy ASAP. Glad Paul and the rest of the cast work so well together and seemed to have formed real friendships especially with Pedro and Ridley. Pedro is such a sweet guy for somebody who looks so handsome, love that his acting hero is Harrison Ford- they both share talent charm and honesty.
There is another great big massive star probably THE MAN but humble as ever denzel and more than willing to share his considerable wisdom for free how can one not respect and love a man like that i have learned so much from him i watch his short informative videos and feel he is talking about me he talks about parts of deep human nature that no one else does highly highly intelligent man DENZEL WASHINTON thank you ❤
Who was a part of this BTS video production? and how can i work for them

Orgullo para mi pais de ser representante en la industria
덴젤워싱턴. 너무 좋아요 😊👍😁
They really took care of their teeth back then.
Wouldn't be surprised if they did.
😊❤
can denzel only do 1 hair type?
Definitely not enough women in Ridleys movies
Ridley Scott created THE FIRST kick ass female movie character, in Alien. This is a story primarily about men, and that's ok.
Exactly @@catenystrom6506
Every film he’s ever made has strong female characters in them. It’s nonsense to say otherwise.
So what?
black emperor in roman empire, funny ridley lost his marbles
European historians have written African Romans out of history. Examine Rome and Africa trade routes...open up your mind.
It's a movie in the 21st Century. Relax. And, he was great in the role. Cheers.
Can I see your movie ? No I can't. Sums it all up!..
@@Casanovamorris your woke logic sums it all up
"Septimius Severus, the Roman emperor who ruled from AD 193 - 211, was an African man. He was born in North Africa in the place now called Libya. His father was believed to be a dark skinned Libyan, his mother an Italic."
napoleon was garbage not faithful to reality at all, Ridley should quit historical he is not fit for it
And yet he's been given the green light with the only people who matter in this conversation: the studio.
Historical films are not history lessons, they are entertainment. If you want to study, watch a documentary.
