2 days ago i took a flight from Malaysia to Qatar and the guy was sitting next to me was from Portugal, we talked almost all the flight time along, but when we landed in doha we said goodbye and he rushed to catch his next flight to Madrid, i kept looking at him from the back as he was running. I don't know why I have this feeling in my chest and why I am still thinking of him all the time, i hope one day i will see him again
I can testify to that most Portuguese people are not open to change and is country full of deep seated dark secrets. I was born there and left when I was 22 years old in 1981, and I have no desire to go back. I have been living in Scottsdale, Arizona, for about 40 years and love it here.
Portugal är ett bra land att flytta till. Trevliga människor, bra sjukvård. Jag och min fru flyttade dit. Hur enkelt som helst. Skaffade lägenhet, jobb och köpte en bil.
Pretty accurate, though, I would say that the Portuguese really aren’t that more friendly than other Europeans; I find the Spaniards more friendly. Secondly, low taxes? Are you kidding. and the healthcare? Well, most Portuguese would agree that the public system is in complete Collapse and you need to get private insurance if you want any kind of decent medical care other than emergency care. But I haven’t found private care to be all that great compared to the United States. For example, if you do series of tests, like blood tests, or etc., or even imaging tests, you have to take the responsibility to get an appointment to get the results. Even if results came back extremely negative they wouldn’t contact you, so nobody takes ownership getting back to the patient even if the results could be life-threatening. You are really responsible for managing a lot of your healthcare.

@@clementekpo7606 Yes, Portugal is a small country with an ageing population and taxes need to be high to pay for healthcare, education, security, policing, infrastructure, etc. The reason Portugal is welcoming foreigners to settle here is because we need more people to work & pay taxes.
Maybe because has a low population, around 10 M, but Portugal must be lacking the amounts of inner motivated merchant class, families and types of people, like exists in Spain. Just working from home types from elsewhere off of the Iberian Peninsula, just digital nomads, isn't working , isn't what it takes. Spaniards aren't much laid back, it's just a different type of character, that strict work ethics time, and the time for fun and rest, is well thought out.
Somethings on the list of this video are wrong, the tax part if you don’t have a good accountant ur get fined, the banks are slow very bad customer service and health care is expensive, the work life there is very hard for little pay and no jobs with over half the people go elsewhere Because of the corrupt government, most Portuguese depending the area the people are noisy rude and racist, best parts for me is Portugal food, drink, views, history and night life best in the world
