The potential for a "Better Watch Out" sequel was literally spelled out for anyone willing to tackle it. However, we've yet to see any sort of progress on a sequel thus far. Part of the reason is Chris Peckover's project schedule. It’s between. 2025,2026,2027,2028,❤ ur welcome
This movie stressed me out so much. Luke needed Chucky, Annabelle, and Pennywise to play with him. Where was Jigsaw when we needed him to put that little snot in a trap?!?
So funny that you guys noticed the doorknobs because they filmed this in Australia just like Talk to Me! You can hear the actress’s Aussie accent slip out a few times throughout the movie too.

Always check for the post credit scenes. Luke is absolutely NOT giving up, nor is the ending definite.
Agree! I was just saying the ending is open to interpretation, wouldn’t you agree? We have to make up our own minds if Luke succeeded or didn’t. Based on his skill of everything he accomplished, it’s possible he did find a way to kill her after all. But it’s up to you and me to decide what we want to believe. That’s my only point.

@@MBG.426I think it can work. The director himself said he had an idea. Obviously you can’t really do much that can take place right after this, but they can just explain Luke was put in juvie or an institution & then he gets out 10 years later & goes after Ashley again. But yeah, I’m not too sure how you can keep the same tone and vibe. Would have to be another full slasher at that point I imagine. But it’s doable!
So glad y’all saw this unspoiled. I watched the trailer and even that pretty much gave away the twist.
This is one movie where I NEED a sequel! Go all Halloween 2 and start it off in a hospital (maybe it’s a dream maybe it’s a real attack) right after this movie ends. Years later, Luke’s been institutionalized and Ashley is living life in Pittsburgh when Luke gets out and goes after her again (via Silent Night, Deadly Night). Except he’s genuinely smart and cunning which would be scarier than Billy ever was lol
EDIT: Just finished watching and didn’t see if you guys saw there was a post credit scene where the hospital scene is teased which is why my comment starts that way. You don’t really need to go rush to watch it it’s just a quick 15 seconds where Luke asks his mom to go visit Ashley at the hospital cause he’s “worried” about her. They definitely left some room for a sequel there with that line and I wouldn’t mind Luke becoming his own slasher icon if they made more of these.
