Adventures in Art with Julie Harris

Actress Julie Harris takes viewers on a tour of the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C., stopping to show us particular paintings and what she thinks is special about them. Artists covered include Leonardo, Raphael, Manet, Rembrandt, Fragonard, Manet, Renoir, Picasso, John Singleton Copley, George Bellows, Winslow Homer, Matisse, Joan Miro, Jackson Pollock and Joshua Johnston, “the first important black artist in the United States.” This film was made in 1979.

I love these type of documentaries. They are old but with so much information and the music in the background is glorious just as the images. Thank you for posting.
