That looks like yet another wonderful Linux box! I ADORE the all the new mini PC choices we now have for LInux x86 machines. Like you, I'm hoping to see more of those Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite chips put into machines of THIS form factor. Aloha!
LOL YUP! I had the same thought as soon as I saw "endev". "It's like a barebones machine that comes with RAM and an SSD... Yup... Nothing on this drive to boot..."
@@tubevization I dare say you are correct! This former Chromebook is an AMD A4-based unit. After re-flashing its ChromeOS UEFI to a more generic one, I've been happily Linux distro-hopping with it. The Easter bunny has nothing on this ol' thing. Also, one of my M1 Mac Minis runs Asahi Linux (first the Arch distro, then the present Fedora one). 🤣 Indeed, Linux on ARM is not fully scienced out yet, and I wish I were 40 years younger and talented at developing for these new platforms. Alas...what's an obsolescent retiree to do? 🤣
Currently using a GMKtec K6 and the performance of these mini pcs are incredible. I'm stoke for when we start seeing Qualcomm X Elite systems in these form factors.
Glad to see you keeping an eye on these systems builders. Little sad that they can't get out of their own way and messing the install for ... some reason(?)
AOC is making a mini PC? That's not on my bingo cards. I only know AOC from making PC monitors. I agree with your point on 2:01. It makes me question why we don't have PCs and laptops selling as a FreeDOS. I remembered ASUS did it with laptops before.
What I wouldnt give for more consumer awareness on that. I'm encouraged that one of the local schools is switching ALL their students to a build of Mint. Babysteps, but we can get there... Just showing people alternatives...

@@SomeGadgetGuy Absolutely!
Snapdragon based systems and Linux are not up to scratch yet.
Linux and AMD on the other hand work very well also in terms of power efficiency.

Want that so bad. I wholly expect we'll see ARM desktops next year.

Some better news coming soon 🤞
Non so chi abbia ideato questo video, ma è chiaramente un genio. E anche il gatto lo è😻
