It's absolutely criminal for smartphones with flagship-grade SoCs like this one still use USB-C 2.0. This can easily be a worthy cheaper alternative to Xiaomi 14 Pro.

It's why I question the existence of "T" series. This is more powerful than the Xiaomi 14. Why keep making this artificial distinction for a "cheaper" phone that isn't cheap?

Funyy thing in my country, you can import the 14 Pro cheaper than the 14T pro. The caviat is that the 14 pro is on Chinese rom but I bought my xiaomi 14 for 620bucks with china rom too and everything works well. All google apps work too 😂 kinda regretting not going with 14 pro tbh

@@SomeGadgetGuy I totally get your point. Xiaomi could have followed OnePlus way by making the T-series an upgraded version of the original release. After all, Xiaomi do launch a Lite (or Civi) version of the Mi lineup.

I love this "outsider" brand phone review, allows me to see how big the progress is in this brands that we (I) don't check as often. That said, I still can't decide if I will choose a Oneplus 12 or a Note23 as I love the specs and price on the OP but also love design, features and software on the Note. My goal is to use my phone as camera for content creation. Any help? Thx in advance to all.

In the UK Xiaomi are throwing in the £600 Pad 6s Pro free with the 1TB version of this phone (£800). After a 10% discount voucher, the two devices cost a mere £720. It's a no brainer.

Might be due to poor sales of their pad 6s pro. I own one, not completely happy tbh, their os sucks on this device. Almost forgotten. Buggy and sluggish. Slows sales might also be the reason they no longer give a sht with its software. Very strong hardware, let down by it software.

honestly, the innovation could have been faster if iphone wasn't so damn greedy. it appears that the big tech reviewers have a lot of influence that what ever they say on their channel about what they love about the iPhone and what they want to see in android, everyone follows suit. look at all the phones pacing themselves like apple not upgrading infact some would say downgrading, squeezing every last buck out of there customers.

Experienced it first hand on the 12T and 13T Pro. Right now I'm using the F6 because for the price, it's just a very good value for gamer and I don't really use the camera.

While I'm a general tech enthusiast, Chinese Smartphones possibly not providing me consistent network coverage on ATT is a huge concern. Saw it personally when a close friend of mine had a Samsung FE model (forget which one), but it was rendered useless when they stopped supporting 4G, on top of the fact that when he was in a spotty coverage area, the phone was barely useful then. Personally, I usually think now Xiaomi's T series are basically "mimicking" their higher-end models at a significant price cut (region wise though, rip NA/EU prices). What draws me personally to this lineup was basically the price point~
Half a decade ago, I was often excited to see Xiaomi's T models as they somewhat incoporate new innovative tech in the industry and kept up with trend designs of its era. The more years passed, it was interesting to see how far they can push the envelope to incorporate somewhat new hardware and software at affordable pricepoints. However, we would usually class them as "top mid-ranger / flagship killer" trope due to build quality and software experience. Weirdly, I can see them getting to the point of halt as they're in a similar position to Oneplus a few year ago imo.

does it have too much annoying ads when you open every apps even just a galery?! hahaha just asking

    • @SomeGadgetGuy
      @SomeGadgetGuy  2 місяці тому

There's a lot of "integration" I think is annoying. Not EXACTLY an ad, but open the gallery and "NOW YOU CAN SYNC WITH GOOGLE PHOTOS!!!", but I don't want to do that.
I don't bother with Xiaomi game app or services like that. Those are a bit easier to avoid.

The only issue I see on that phone is HyperOS. The worst part of every single Xiaomi phone by far is its software.

Its new, so bound to have issues. They're targeting the US market so they are making it similar to iOS. Once they get a decent hold of the market, they'll begin to change it back to their own style

@SomeGadgetGuy Hi Bro, Which of these phones is best for everyday use?
    - Xiaomi 14 Ultra
    - Xiaomi 14T Pro
    - Vivo X100 Pro
I mean: screen, speakers, gaming experience, ergonomics, system, camera/photo (completely in general)
