If Josie’s parents were more responsible instead of being fame, money hungry and down right selfish , they should be the ones who should be looking after her . They had her and she should not of been passed around “ like a parcel” for Jana , who was but a child herself to bare the responsibility of her welfare . These are solely Jim Bob “s and Michelle’s roles . They should not of brought so many children into this world if they didn’t want to take full responsibility of their roles as parents . It was not their children’s responsibilities to raise every sibling that came along . Children can’t raise children . They are not equipped to do so , as they are trying to navigate through lives ups and downs themselves and are missing out on their own childhoods. Hence they were growing up to fast and not enjoying being children . While their parents were busy living life and behaving like single people without any responsibilities . No wonder they are now quite dysfunctional and chaotic elements which exist within their lives as adults . Jim Bob knows but chooses to ignore these and his only goal in life , seems to be to marry off his children one by one to the “highest bidder “ in order to make money out of them . He dismisses the fact that they may not want to marry who he has chosen for them . He’s not the one who has to remain married to his children’s partners or produce a million children within these marriages . As he has finished reproducing within his own family and is now busy dictating and directing his own children who are now adults what he expects of them. I hope someone is there for Josie as she grows and enters adult hood . As clearly her parents have chosen not to be and Jim Bob has married off her only “ source of comfort “ her sister Jana . I’ve also noticed that when the Duggar children are married off they are encouraged to move as far away as possible from the family home and their siblings . I feel sorry for the ones who grew up together and are close , This close bond is evidently dismantled . This also has a “knock on effect “on the younger ones who don’t see their older siblings as much because they are too busy “ playing house “ , putting their spouses needs a first and producing a million kids one after the other . That they haven’t got the time in their lives to spend with them . This happens every time when one of their children gets married. SMH
