  • On this Metal Detecting Adventure I explored many different sites in a period of 2 days. The first place was a really cool old house site that had a cellar hole, I searched around the house for several hours and best find was a Compass that is in working condition. The next day I was heading back to one of my bottle dump sites and I got lost on the way and wondered off into unknown territory. I planned to dig bottles that evening but the Lord established my steps and led me onto two old house foundations in the woods. The day turned out well and I had a lot of fun. Thank the Lord for keeping me safe and leading me to those old house sites.
I hope yall enjoy the video and God bless!
Finding that compass reminded me of Psalm 103:12, which says "as far as the east is from the west, so far does he(The Lord) remove our transgressions from us."
"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters." Psalm 23:1-2
"The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps." - Proverbs 16:9
    To God be the glory.

    About Nugget Noggin:
Hey! I'm Michael, I love to get outdoors and discover awesome things
with my metal detector. I started treasure hunting when I was 12 years
old and shortly after received my first metal detector. Since then, I've
been hooked and just love going out to search for the unknown. You
may see me in the woods crawling under an old house or diving down
in the river to search for rings. Wherever the adventure brings us, I'll try
my best to keep you entertained.

I loved the machine gun nest, it's amazing it's undisturbed for the most part. I enjoy how you paint the pictures of life back in the day, washing and swimming in the creek...I also enjoy the way you slip the verses in at just the right times. My favorite find of the day is the piece of broken pottery.
    God Bless, you, Michael.

It is really cool how you are walking through the dank dry brown and gray woods and then step across a line into the lush green grass. Where do you live/search? Are you worried about snakes or spiders? I would be so afraid to be bitten by either one. I guess you have to risk it to be able to explore everywhere. Love the videos. God bless!

That is fascinating you found that house site by the creek. I wonder if they built the house next to the creek for the water. I bet that little area was a major water source to do laundry, bath and carry buckets of water, etc. Amazing how far we have come....8-)

Hey Nugget, around 6:05 that flint you found I believe is a hide scraper made by Native Americans. Its very possible that it is an unfinished point, but it more than likely is a hide scraper. Still just as awesome as an arrowhead, and a lot rarer! Great find!

Sweet recovery on the Compass, have you been able to determine its age? One of my favorite finds was a small brass compass I found on an old stage coach road in Connecticut. The copper patina had made an air tight seal and preserved the insides so well that when I opened it up it still worked. Hand pressed glass, iron forged needle, hand turned screw threads dated it to the 1790's!!

gil ga gil ga gil gagil... ok gomer.. you are smart at knowing what you find...I would love exploring with you... I dont have an expensive metal detector but after a hurracane here on the florida treasure coast I tried.. found a guy digging a hole in a beach in Wabasso.. he was about 12 feet down.. he was the guy who found a small chest full of silver coins. I know where all the shipwrecks are but you have to search the beach after a hurricane.. and they are usually closed after one.I am not a diver but I love metal detecting. This guy told me all the scavengers already took the silver coins out of the dune. Another cool place to search is a civil war battlefield in md, va, penn..

+Frankie Cowsert in my experience... there's not many

    • @frankiecowsert9364
      @frankiecowsert9364 8 років тому +2

You know you're probably right in there not being many. The thing is that we are all sinners, every day...nothing we can do about it because we were born into sin. It's what we do about it that counts. It takes a lot of faith and faith is something that's always been very hard for me. If I can't see it, it's hard for me to say "it's there"...however, I was born into a Christian family, my dad was in church every time the doors opened and he always was doing something good for someone, but he passed away when I was only 9 and my mother was still a good Christian but not like my dad. We stopped going to church, but a few things had happened to me at church that I had never told anyone about..mainly because I didn't understand it. Honey, I have one some doozeys(not a word)of sins in my life, but I've always known that Jesus loved me an He has pulled me through many a problems. It's funny cause most Christians don't eve turn to Jesus unless they want something, like He is going to just produce it if you want it...He says you will receive what you need if you only believe. I've always believed but I have had my moments too. I don't believe you are an atheist, I believe you just need guidance and to start with..a wee bit of faith. I suffer from clinical depression and bipolar depression and some of my days an nights are pretty bad, however my medications helps a lot, but there days.....and I pray for Jesus to please guide me and help me with my suffering and let me have a good day and most times I do. I never forget to thank Him at the end of the day. Do some thinking....I think you are seeking ....and needing....I do not even call myself a Christian, nor do I go to church, but by golly, I believe in Jesus Christ and that He is my savior and one day I plan on being in heaven with Him. May God Bless YOU and lead you. Frankie

It has been two years since you wrote your testimony Frankie. You had to wonder if anyone has read it, well, I have and you have blessed me greatly. Another You Tuber said to me something to the effect that all the Christian preaching on You Tube goes nowhere. I'd say he is wrong. I told this person that God will use method he can to get his word out including You Tube. We could call ourselves You Tube Missionaries. My sister had (I'm having a terrible time with spelling today), she saw and heard things. I never knew what was going to happen that day. Everyday was a new adventure. But one thing for sure, She Loved Jesus! I know she is with him today. God Bless you Frankie. You blessed me. I think I will read your testimony again before closing up. I wish that I could copy but You Tube stops me.)
