They have made the game so much worse. What is the point of building if they introduce a new gun every week that shreds the builds, then when people complain they add legendary versions of theirs guns. What happened to a shotgun and an AR with a bit of skill. Now noobs with a smg will kill you with spray and pray. I’ve played 4 games on this new update and it’s terrible. I’ve died to horrible players because they have tons of ammo and 3 smg’s
Edit: just to clarify what happened to people saying I’m trash or just shoot back this is what happened. I come out of retail/containers have 6 kills and there’s like 25 people left storms just finished first zone. Two defaults on hill above the tunnel by tomato. Teamers :( both just spraying the new gun. I couldn’t shoot back because I would get lasered. Tried building but it was like fighting two mini guns. I killed one and had ~80 hp left. And I couldn’t get away from the second she must’ve had full shield and I died. Shotgun meta I would’ve wiped the floor with them.

Wow Epic really took out double shotgunning and then added this spammable spray and pray effortless shit atleast double shotgun took aim skill technique and it wasn’t as spammable as this. Not to mention they multiplied that by 4 too by adding 4 other spammable machine guns. The mini gun is the only high clip ammo, high fire rate, spammable machine gun that would be balanced if t had the LMG recoil too. Smh.

They ain't trash they're just higher risk to use than SMG. You do more damage in a single shot with a shotgun, but the SMG shreds with its godly DPS and accuracy. It all depends on the situation. If you only have the chance to hit a single shot, go with the shotgun, however if you get the chance to shred your opponent from close to mid-range, SMG just dominates. Fortnite just destroyed the previous AR/shotgun meta and replaced it with Silent/SMGs, I hope they buff revolvers/deagles next.

So Fortnite wanted to add diversity... By what killing shotguns and making this a spray and pray meta. If they wanted diversity why create an entirely different meta around smgs. They don't want us to use the main mechanic in the game which is building. I mean they are already nerfing the base health of what it starts to. Chief Genos I tried a solo squads yesterday and on the first one, I got sniped in the back (my fault for being exposed) but when the other team came at me after I had already healed, one of them tried to have a build battle with me which I respect him, but his teammates just kept on either shooting it down or just slamming LMGs/Miniguns at my building and closely chipping away at my health bar until I died
Truse is it fair to expect to be able to spam build while 3 players shoot down your walls? As far as I know the game has always functioned like that, whether it was RPGs, miniguns, or the new SMG.

ryan the clip size isn’t the problem. It’s the damage. 5 shots to the body, 3 to the head? If you get this gun early game, you pretty much can’t die. The only way to fix this is to either nerf the damage by like 50%, or they can bring double shotty/ one shot pumps back. I kinda want the second option, as that would give you two viable close-quarters options
