I saw a video of dakota talking about how he liked the game better before, I agree 100%. If you watch some of daequans old videos, the flow of the gameplay is so much better. So sad that fortnite took this path. Sometimes you'll build up on people and no one will be able to kill eachother lol, the pump hits are dogshit now. I really only die to someone spraying me with subs. I dont like how a lot of my fights have literally been me and another guy face to face seeing who could kill eachother faster with a sub. Its doo doo.

Angel Nava Yeah it for sure ruined the flow of the game if nothing else. I have 500 wins a 5.5 kd, and a 30% winrate, I truly understand why epic did what they did. I destroy new players without getting hit by a single shot, and I see how that could be discouraging to new players, but at the end of the day, those players need to grind to get better. The reason that its difficult with a battle royale game, is because only 1 person wins, or 4 with a squad ect. So a new player playing a game like call of duty would see success eventually, a new player in a game like fortnite may never see success. So I get it. I saw a player the other day with 1800 games played and 1 single win. I really truly understand the strategy they're taking, but at the end of the day you cant ruin the core game, and you cant piss off the competitive players. You just cant. If a game like league of legends or overwatch made game changing choices like this, the competitive scene would go ballistic. These fortnite pros need to speak up and say whats really on their minds.

The problem is they are making the game too nooby :increasing splofe dmg , reducing building hp ,adding 2 new smgs , making the new meta a spray meta , taking out double pump which is for skilled players , now the bad players have a chance
Adding a double pump which has more spread than a tactical and 150 body shots, and making it epic or legendary so only the people who are lucky and find it win, and that’s how noobs get a chance at winning, not with skill, but with rng.

Spray meta is kinda annoying for people who like shotguna instead of smgs but some people like smgs over shotguns I think you should be able to use whatever your preference is I think end of season 3 towards middle of season 4 (before smg buff and pump nerf and p90) was a pretty good time in the game where this was pretty well balanced.

smg was always viable to me lol I used pump smg sometimes on console since season 2
But then there was still double pump, which took no skill.

Honestly we need a drum shotgun again. We need different shotguns. Rn the shotgun meta requires skill like it used to but a higher level of skill. The tac doesn't require much skill but it doesn't do any damage. A drum shotgun would be sick

The biggest problem with spray and pray is the delay on your builds spawning chips you and gets you too weak to push. And even if you get in close you hit him for 87 point blank and die. If building was still like s2-3 good players wouldn't have as much trouble with right trigger players. I thought this game had made enough money to not lower the skill gap to attract new players like every other shooter game has.. sadly I was wrong

The problem is that it’s doodoo and for lesser skilled players in my opinion. Double pump was super good but it doesn’t rip your mats and you can’t spray, u actually have to land shots. It’s ok if you think differently, but I think shotguns are way more fun, and take more skill to use then the drum and smgs

I think my problem with double shotty was that you could shoot 2 shot guns faster than you can shoot, pump and shoot 1 shotgun. I was suggested a small nerf to it like a .25 second delay. Instead they add like a 3 second delay.

That was a good player at the end GG, as far as shotguns tho I think the pump damage multiplier should be the same as original but with a max of like 150 Instead of 230 and you should equip it faster but keep the timer in between two.

There literally is no skill required to spray with any SMG, everyday the best of the best are getting bested by bad players holding down that shoot button. There's really nothing that can be done it seems and it sucks for everyone, both the pros and casuals. Truly unhealthy imho.

SMG meta is killing the game
shotgun meta reduced diversity more than smg meta though, during that it was double pump and AR or bust, now its Shotty, SMG, weapon X. Your smg acts as your bunker buster so you don't have to have an AR for aggressive builds anymore.
i kinda agree with you i think that people could use shotty to smg to counter double shotty but we all miss that double shotty and epic just isn’t listening but your voice matters cause epic listens to content creators

Fade Everyone just used double shottys, it was all the game was before. Shotguns shotguns shotguns. Smgs were basically worthless. I like build battles but sometimes it can drag on for too long which is why epic changed some stuff. I would get rid of the p90, lmg and mini gun but the rest are fine imo.
To balance the game they just need to implement axplosives with damage fall off based on center of exlosion and SLIGHTLY reduce damage to structuresfor all guns, in aprticular smgs from close range and medium ammo guns from all ranges. I m talking about a SLIGHT adjustment where spraying at walls is still effective but not to where good builders are not allowed to take advantage af their skill.
This is what the problem with the spray meta consists of, worst players can get around not building as good as others and still win fights pritty consistently (depending on the skill gap between the 2 players of course) because of explosives and because of how easily u just shred through walls by simply spraying.
With this changes it s gonna make sense to carry an AR shotgun, without having to feel exposed if u know your way around building. It s gonna make sense to carry shotgun smg if u re the aggressive type! It s gonna allow to carry snipers more because people don t feel like they need to carry 3 smgs and a shotgun to survive close quarters incounters. And build fighting is gonna be back to being fun because takeing down structures is gonna take a little more then a granade or half a clip of any weapon.

Its like me and dae think the exact same way everything he says i completely agree with. I was a flick shotter on console but now rip. The double shotty was balanced when they nerfed the damage to structures the pump did a while back. It was fortnite at its prime.

I think no double shotty gives more variety. Almost everyone used double shotgun because it's easier to aim, even if it was technically worse than shotgun + smg. If they brought back double shotgun, most people would take double heavy every chance they get, every time. Just 2 of the exact same weapon. But in the single shotgun meta, people choose a variety of guns depending on their playstyle. The most common shotgun switch-outs are compact smg, silenced smg, drum gun, or AR. In double shotty meta, people only take heavy + tac or heavy + heavy for endgame.
