I appreciate everything Daniel did to help and encourage Norm Macdonald to do more than just standup, like Norm Macdonald Live…that doesn’t happen without Daniel. ❤
We are so proud that Daniel was one of our early, and most important guests on our show. There’s the cheap plug. Further to that, we cannot understate how nice and kind a person Daniel is. Not to mention the width and breadth of his experience. He worked with all sorts of folks on other projects including Hal Gurnee and a lot of stuff with Norm MACdonald.
Wow, those are seriously some of the most memorable segments in the history of the show. The Morley Safer line after the Drew Barrymore flash is a perfect example of why Dave is the GOAT.
Wow, I did not know Daniel Kellison worked for Late Night (I stopped watching when he moved to CBS). Having admitted that I must say that this was one of the best installments on the current series. Daniel lived the life I wanted to live as a young man. Hell he's living the life I want right now! What a scoundrel.
He has great stories. I hope he will get a second segment, because I’m sure we have only scratched the surface. His grandfather was an interesting twist to end on!
Daniel came up with so many legendary ways for Dave to introduce the guests. Nobody will ever be quite like Dave, and the people who have worked with him know why. Of course, so do we.
Kellison's work with Letterman is good, but remember folks. This is the guy who made the Super Dave on Norm Macdonald show happen. Which in my humble opinion is one of the greatest events to ever happen.
@@danieljkellison My husband was John Wood, everyone knew him as "Woody" and he grew up in Brattleboro and graduated from BUHS in 1980 and ran the Guilford Country store for a few years. Sadly, he passed away unexpectedly just after Thanksgiving in 2022 after a wonderful career working in higher ed at Landmark College in Putney.
Of course-- I'm so sorry to hear that. He was a great guy and I remember him well. Please say hi to everyone for me-- and I was just at Guilford Country Store last summer! But best to you and yours... xx @@ellenwood2167
Oh, these were the days when Dave still turned so red with embarrassment! That segment with Drew!😂 And Julia, too. Both classics. Great to hear the stories behind these! And Madonna. And Connery. And O'Toole. And your grandfather! Really enjoyed this, Daniel! So instrumental in bringing us so many iconic segments.
Daniel - I'm only 3 minutes into the video - and I love it so far - but I have to ask you: Is not shaking Elle's hand at that moment the biggest regret of your life? Sincerely, Mike from Quincy
I wonder if Sean Young has a Dada streak in her. I think her approach as a "celebrity" was always absudist art. If a camera is rolling, one is in performance.
I have to say - having Cristin Glover's bronzed shoe for the mantle would be something to have - from Rubin and Ed. (The director of that film has my own bronzed glove for his fireplace)
I was there at Blue Angel when Drew stripped and we booed her. The women who work there were doing an amazing job and she just pushed them aside and danced with her unimpressive cliche moves. Her entourage tried to intimidate us but we just booed louder. Drew Barrymore entourage is pathetic.
I enjoy these segments and I have suspected they are a sort of a Valentine from Dave to the staff for their contributions and loyalty to the show. My assumption is the staff member gets to produce their own youtube segment and receive a royalty every month. I hope that is the case. That seems how Dave rolls. People are going to watch these for a long, long time and the families would benefit in perpetuity.
it's not It's not odd. it;s refreshing. See once upon a time,. before the internet, before cell phones, it was encouraged for young people to out and MEET people and LIVE LIFE. Today, LIFE comes in the form of a 6 inch devise that everyone stares into all day long. In reality--they are the odd one's.

100%! 👏 Norm’s online show was one of the greats.
Explain to the folks at home what Norm MacDonald Live is.
@@hatcherluke It's a podcast for 50 people.
Didn’t Daniel also produce that UA-cam awards show that Norm did the pre-show for? I loved that.
We need a few more installments with Daniel. He's great.

My new favorite in this series. What a legacy, Daniel. You could tell when Dave genuinely liked someone, and you were definitely in that elite group!❤
That Connery entrance was epic and perfect!
That Sean Connery entrance was absolutely amazing
Jaw dropped haha. So good

Same. I’ve been binging these while cleaning, but I stopped to watch all of his.
I love that he actually mentioned a "difficult guest" by name. I love these so much!
Omg fantastic stories! Daniel sharing the back stories to these bits of Letterman history is priceless! We need more Daniel! 🐪
All the folks who worked on the show helped make it the last great night show ever. Cheers to everyone and to you Daniel.
I love Daniel's memories more than some others. More Daniel interviews!
I love, no LOOOOOOVVVVVEEEEE,all of the Staff Favorite Moments videos - but this one can't be topped!!! 😭
Man, Letterman was absolutely awesome. So many memories watching these.
Great video. I would love Dave and Daniel to interview each other about memories of these segments.
This is the exact opposite of clickbait - so much more than Drew’s dance on the desk! Great memories all of them!
One of the best yet
What a difference a Dave makes! I love these retrospectives. Daniel's was fantastic. Please keep them coming ...
Would love to hear another one of these from Daniel about his work with Norm Macdonald!
All these 'Staff Favorite Moments' are so good
THIS is one of the greatest of the Staff Favorite Moments that I've seen! Incredible stories! Bravo!
Outstanding memories! ❤ So many great moments! "Whatever his name is..." 😂 The Connery entrance was epic!
That was a great one. Connery really stuck that landing.
Love Daniel Kellison. A legend.
I remember watching that Drew Barrymore appearance the night it aired, it was so shocking at the time! Ahhhh... The 90s ❤️
This was awesome!
omg dan that was just AWESOME to watch!! I saw almost everyone of those episodes!! great memories
Loved this, thank you Daniel! And thanks so much for Norm MacDonald Live too. That show was amazing.

Bonk! Too good to be true, this. It needs a couple more viewings, for sure. Thank you Mr. Kellison!

DK this is brilliant!
The Peter O'Toole entrance on the camel during the London shows was indeed one of the best TV entrances ever, topped off by that stupid pet trick.
Fantastic! Well done!

Love it! Iconic moments!

Sean Connery's entrance was excellent! So was Peter O"Toole's!
Watching them now as a middle-aged dude, all I can think is they were lucky nothing went south on those risky entrances!
That’s awesome must do more so great the story behind the interviews is great !😎👍🏻🇺🇸🦅
Great great great memories 🤩
11:52 - Crispin Glover was seriously unhinged.

Would love to hear how he met Norm
Freaking hilarious 😂
Thanks for the iconic moments Daniel

Worth the watch...Peter O'Toole and Sean Connery made great entrances!

Great.
Way to go Dave.👏
How cool was Peter O’Toole’s entrance! And Sean Connery has never trouble with that, either.😺
