  • It has been wet and muddy in middle-TN recently. We decided to get out and play in the mud with the Losi Super Rock Rey, Axial Yeti XL, and the Axial Wraith!
    This was probably the most fun trail walk we have ever done. The splashing mud, spinning tires, and challenges to climb all had us laughing and enjoying it.
    Thanks for watching!

    That was one hell of a crawling adventure guys. I really enjoyed that.. SRR and Yeti XL are just two Giants Beast.

      I really do like the larger scale stuff, but very impressed that the Wraith hung with them!
      Hard to choose between the Yeti and the SRR...

      @@CommanderAstigRC So far, yes, however it has an obvious twist in it. As long as I only do this type of driving, it will probably be OK.

    • @RoadsideRC
      @RoadsideRC  6 років тому +1

      Great question!
      I have thought a lot about this. The answer is simple because the Yeti XL has been discontinued. Parts are still available now, but will run out eventually.
      That is really too bad of a situation, as it is cheaper to fix and more nimble than the Losi. However, the big 8S power in the Losi is GREAT!

      I own the Yeti and Yeti XL. I own a Rock Rey and I’m looking to buy the Super. In my opinion they are both the same but different. The same as far as they are considered rock racers. The Losi has a heavy plate chassis and crazy power. Tends to be front heavy when jumping. The Yeti’s are lighter with a plastic chassis and have good power. Biggest problem for the Yeti XL is severe torque twist . Can be lessened with tuning but can’t seem to eliminate it completely. The Yeti is a better jumper. Every RC is going to break. They all have weak spots. I love them all for different reasons. My advice is to own both.

  • @wallacengineering8096
    @wallacengineering8096 6 років тому

    So how come you aren't using your 17mm hub adapters on the Super Rock Rey? Im trying to find out if they actually work correctly and if there are any running issues because I want to run some wider Pro-Line MX38 Badlands on my Super Rock Rey. Trying to build the Ultimate Super Rock Rey, no expenses spared. Im gonna get Most of the Aluminum Upgrade Parts, HobbyWing MAX5 ESC, Savox Servo, and more!

    • @RoadsideRC
      @RoadsideRC  6 років тому

      Those 17mm adapters were actually for my Yeti XL. I just put them on the SRR as a test fit to see if they would work.
      Thinking if selling the Yeti, so you might see some running with the different wheels after all.

    • @wallacengineering8096
      @wallacengineering8096 6 років тому

      @@RoadsideRC You should definitely try using that conversion with those tires just once to see if they actually work properly when faced with real-world conditions, driving and bashing. If the Hub adapter spins freely on the driveshaft then there is a problem

    • @RoadsideRC
      @RoadsideRC  6 років тому

      @@wallacengineering8096 the adapter is pinned, so no chance of it spinning freely. They are the same adapters you see in this video with the YetiXL running them. They work great.
