A typical Tuesday for me.
It's not just disney, these 10-ish years in movie/serie/games history will be known as the age of (bad) remakes and dumbfounded aim to please (read: include) everyone.
Thats also why you like the older music so much better then todays "13 in a dozen" songs, there is no true feeling in it, just about the cash and keep everyone happy.

Along with the "Critical Drinker" I really like "The Woke Critic". He has an usual approach to this Hollywood crap that is very entertaining.

Disney put their money on the wrong side of history. Even if they decided to be less woke, I believe it is too late for them. Perhaps they overstepped their boundaries and are now being sacrificed. But, I do still own a very old metal disney wind up alarm clock I bought in a thrift store in 1978. It was old even then. Hah!

I bet Warwick Davis wanted to kick Peter’s ass.😏 Some of the Game of Thrones actors/actresses really got a huge ego trip after the series ended and let it go to their heads big time. The last Disney movie I went to was Through the looking glass. I liked the first one more for the supporting cast than the main character. And I was a big fan of Alan Rickman. I think it was the last time he, Johnny Depp and Helena Carter were all together since Sweeney Todd.
hi michael, hope you're good. i wouldn't subject my 84 year old mother to it let alone a kid. did you notice, on the picture of the "dwarves ", the one at the front looks just like peter dinklage and one of them's a girl. you cannot re-create something that is already the best it's gonna get. yes you can remake it, but it's never going to be the same, so why not make something new. it doesn't matter if the lead lady is white, black, orange, green or blue with purple spots, although it might make it a bit more interesting, it doesn't matter. a very bold reaction today my friend and i think you'd make an excellent black panther.............

To be fair, the explanation for the picture of the dwarves, it's said some of them were stand ins for the cast, so let's see what the actual cast looks like.. As for race swapping, no, it shouldn't happen. The Little Mermaid was featured a lot in this video, and, I don't have a problem with Ariel being played by Halle Bailey. Ariel is a mermaid, a mythical creature, so wouldn't necessarily be a race that's the same as any human race or culture.
Can we finally get Ryan Gosling to play Black Panther then as Wakonda isn't a real place?
@@heikira438 Being honest, I don't know enough about the Black Panther and Wakanda to be able to comment properly. But, I will say that, if Wakanda is based on or inspired by Africa and African cultures and Black Panther is supposed to be human, only with powers, and there is inspiration from Human, African specific myths, then no, of course not, not if these things are integral to the story. There is a fine line and I suppose it can be difficult to know when to cross it and when not to. I stand by what I said about mermaids. They are not specific to European culture and myths of mer-people can be found all over the world and (afaik) aren't tied or inspired by any specific human race or culture. Hans Christian Anderson was Danish, so I suppose it can be assumed he based most of his stories in or around Europe, it doesn't mean the little mermaid has to be Danish too. She lives in the sea. Also, Disney already took liberties with the original. story anyway. Ariel's skin colour is irrelevant to the story being told.

There's no law saying a fairy tale (or any original source) has to be cast as written. For me, the only rules would be (1) if it is for some reason essential to the story that the character have a particular trait, be a certain race, etc., then it probably needs to stick to the original; and white characters can be switched to other races, but not the other way around, because throughout our history white casting has dominated, so if we respect fairness at all, we have to do all we can to redress that in order to give everyone an equal chance to get roles they can perform well. Okay, I'm getting outta here before I get a pie or a rock thrown at me...
