FCAR feels so much better to me but they're really sidegrades of each other. Pretty balanced, I wish I could say the same about Medium's other options

When you use the defibrillator you don’t need to charge it when you’re not right next to the dead teammate because then it takes away your sprint. Charge it when you are basically right next to them so you don’t get caught with your gun down.
Charge it while sliding then, easier to land the defib when crouched anyway
I've killed a light build with the defibrillator who jumped me out of nowhere

Having nearly double the ammo is just that valuable especially in a game where you can be fighting multiple different teams.
I do prefer the versatility of have 80% more ammo

@@Temp_nam for sure, but unless your team is hella coordinated, most of the time you won’t be getting those duels.
Hell, you won’t be getting fair fights 90% of the time
Not to mention having to contend with heavies who can soak up ur mag and poor hipfire, that 20 round mag is limiting.
If the gun has 5-6 more bullets, it would be a lot better. It’s good, but just not there yet.

I guess it depends on the person. I personally prefer the AKM because I feel as though I am in quite a few encounters against multiple people so it's nice to have that extra large mag. Although an argument can be made that the FCAR has significantly faster reload speed so it helps in that regard as well

Just some advice. when you revive someone with defib, heal them. They don't spawn at full health.
This statement is half false, if you revive someone they do in fact spawn with full health. On the other hand, if you use your defibrillators then they will only spawn with half health.

I find it's quite effective to 4 burst the fcar at mid range +, the horizontal recoil doesn't seem to kick in until after this
1 v 1 I love the Fcar, but man...The AK with that clip size..Sooo good. Especially when almost always there's a +1 coming up to help their buddy.

The FCAR is my weapon of choice, and the funny part is I HATED IT before I understood it. Once I discovered how great it is when tap-fired at distance, and figured out how to use the aim point for long distance but the ring for close range, I started shredding with it. The hipfire is more accurate too. The small magazine size is punishing, but it melts like nothing else in the Medium kit when you hit your shots, and its pinpoint accurate from across the map when single shot.
the recoil pattern is pretty simple, once you master it you can laser beam full auto with it across map lol
looking back it’s quite hilarious how long it took people to realise how op this weapon was, fun while it lasted

i feel like the Fcar always leaves them with like 50hp if i miss 2 bullets. like at 2:48. you missed like 3-5 and only took them to half, then the cleanup took 20 more shots. the AK prob gets him in one clip. the kill before took all the bullets for the kill.
TGM missed 75% of his shots at the timecode you linked. He only gets 5 damage markers, meaning he only hit 5 bullets. 5 bullets brought the medium class to half, meaning you only need half a clip to kill someone if you hit all your shots.
The FCAR is a weapon that rewards high accuracy. If you're finding you're only getting them to 50 HP, you're missing more shots than you think.
In response to your question. I don’t think you can get a breach charges on medium but grenades can blow holes and explosive mines can be placed on surfaces then shot to detonate, blowing a hole on said surface.
I know to most this is nothing new but it may help newer players feel more impactful on medium 👍
Medium will be heavily punished if you run aimlessly without cover or pay attention to what is happening around you. You guys play Medium role will recognize this when you just run straight in the valt or the enemy team. Your health bar is not that much and you don't have much equipment to protect yourself except the goo grenade, so taking cover and noticing where the enemy gonna come from you will have more chance to survive and prepare for the gunfight, Heavy build is more forgiving cause you have a big health bar and a Mesh shield + Dome shield or barricade. Light has cloaking to sneak around or Dash and grappling hook to run away from danger, but Medium... Nope, move smart will be the most basic thing if you want to be good at Medium
I don't know why it's taken everyone so long to realize this. Stats have been tested since day one with the FCAR being miles above the fastest ttk for medium. They are true sidegrades, the FCAR requiring more skill in both aim, and positioning/movement to make sure you don't get beamed while reloading. The reload time is the lowest of almost every gun in the game with really only light's guns competing even on reload speed. FCAR is for dishing out damage all yourself if you have the skills, AKM is for the support mediums that maybe can't aim as well and rely on their heavy more, or want to focus on tearing apart heavy shields. FCAR leaves you semi vulnerable when shooting shield

This game has revived a passion in me that I only felt in apex in three strikes. Passion left the apex game in season 14.
A permanent three strikes would be so nice for apex + loads of overhaul to the game..
For now I’ll play the finals and make this my main game. Definitely rage more playing cod than this too.

From what I see, they can keep the ammo at 20 rounds... just increase the range of the scope a bit to ×2 or x3 for Fcar, and adding Redot to AK will allow the game to clash at a variety of range. more And it might make Light's Sniper more meaningful.

I started playing this game on Saturday, and used FCAR for all but my first few games. And prefer it way more. Feels better to me. And i just make sure to reload more often then normal, and ammo isnt an issue normally.
Honestly, if FCAR had just 5 more bullets in the mag I'd definitely choose it over the AK
I wouldn’t say it’s fair to compare the gunplay of this game to apex. The way you fight and fight pacing is completely different. Apex prioritizes fast TTK with movement and mostly non hit scan weapons to add room for skill. The finals does the opposite with more diliberate movement and a slower TTK but all weapons except the throwing knifes are hit scan. They both allow for skill expression in different ways. One with the mastery of tracking and the other with the mastery of pure aim and recoil.
AKM is more forgiving basically. On game sessions my aim feels on point I play FCAR. When my aim feels meh and there's lots of heavys I play AKM.
I love the FCAR all my friends wonder how and why I use it because they just feel like the AK is so good. FCAR feels satisfying to me
I would use it more, but for some reason I can't just get any headshots with it, so I just do better with the AK.
I've found shooting it like a semi automatic nearly negates the recoil. You can fire it quite quickly and still eliminate recoil without losing DPS to missed rounds just spraying.
My main problem with the FCAR is the recoil pattern in the middle shooting that messes when shotting moving targets. The akm not having a sight is a bit of a letdown but make up for it with the bigger magazine so its a toss up which work best

FCAR is much more consistent. .357 is the medium's equalizer. If your aim is there you can 2 tap on any class. Really only feels weak against good light players, especially melee lights.
Me ive been doing surprisingly well with the revolver, but i also enjoy playing with the FCAR.
The difference is the first 5 shots hard to control on the AK. For long lasers AK is better but for short lasers the FCAR is much more accurate
I'm NGL I get highest scores with the Revolver Lol. IDK why but for me it just works out. its very deadly and underrated

Akm feels more reliable. But if I'm careful about keeping my mag topped up, I'll take the fcar everytime now.
I really enjoy the vast majority of your videos - I joined for Apex and I'm absolutely hooked on The Finals so I've also been watching your videos on that.
I would maybe suggest that you don't make broad claims like "The AKM is better", "Medium isn't as fun as Light" and "The Finals is not as good as Apex" (all things you said in this video, with the AKM point actually being countered by the information in the intro to the video, particularly when in a co-ordinated team). I have 1,000 hours in Apex and I find The Finals to be a way more unique, dynamic & refreshing experience (especially the tournament system). I also generally prefer high mobility classes, so the grapple hook and dash on Light felt like a godsend; but the more I play Medium... the more I find I'm having fun actually engaging with the core gameplay and tactics involved, rather than just zipping around everywhere having 1v1s.
These are opinions, not facts - but the way you've presented yours are as facts. Due to your position as an influential UA-camr/Streamer, some people will hear you say these things and will form their opinions completely based on what you say.
I'm really sorry if this seems negative, I'm honestly just trying to be constructive - as I said, I like your videos a lot but there's always room for improvement.

you dont need headshots with the FCAR in normal ranges, as an entire magazine can kill a heavy and probably a light too with all body shots. that said, if you dont hit a few headshots, you better not be missing many bullets.
I love the FCAR. I always feel like I am killing faster with it and like I can land more shots with it. All the things I see day the AK is better but it never feels that way.
i prefer akm because medigun medium need to swap frequently so larger mag size is preferable.
Its better becouse have the scope , but it require better aim and skill , if the akm had the red dot scope was better , the akm is superior in some situations
i have a problem wih the akm iron sights when i miss a bit and shoot to high i cant see the enemy because the iron sights dont let me
the FCAR has better performance because the gun is easy to control. a larger magazine doesnt matter if you miss your shots

so when i "first" played the game, i didnt like the ak. felt too weak. went to FCAR and it felt much better in terms of killing. yet everyone i faced against was using the ak. reason why i think ak is used far more in the game is due to the heavy double shield meta. with the ak having 36 bullets in the clip, it can deal more damage to those barriers per clip. FCAR is only rly good if (1) your opponent is a light/medium and (2) you hit most of your shots in the clip. miss a couple and the 1 clip potential is gone. FCAR vs heavy you have to "really" hit 90% or more of the shots it feels like but the AK is more forgiving.
if you're accurate, the fcar is better.
