I am doing a Marsielle career mode. My first season was a bit of a challenge trying to get the team to top 4, but now in the second season, I sold a key player for 80 million to Arsenal, and signed Martin Terrier and Eden Hazard. I'm gonna go to the job market after the 2nd season is over
For more "realism" and more difficulty to my saves I always sign players that the scouters bring me from different leagues, plus the negotiation always to the second manager
Signing restrictions not ensure you’re thinking about each signing is super important. Some rules may include needing a minimum number of players of the same nationality as the club, only make 2 signings per window, etc.
Signing restrictions are super important. Best idea i had was to restrict signings to 2 per season. This makes you really think about who you are bringing in. Also following the Bundesliga rules of min. 12 German players on the team, so it means I'm constantly scouting Germany for new talent (by the way Kevin Schade is a MONSTER)
Started a Newcastle career doing premier league rules. X amount of home grown and a main squad of 25 (inc. 3 gk's). Then signed a few people from the academy along with a few youngsters from the start and it's been my best so far. Turned up injury likeliness for myself and PC too so I get plenty of rotation.
Would recommend Porto career mode. Really underrated players such as taremi otavio and pepe and young talents such as veron, Mario and Costa. Also the budget is really low so it takes you a few seasons to build a good team. No matter how good your team you will have an intense title fight every season with benfica sporting and Braga winning almost all their matches. Definitely my favourite career mode so far of fifa 23
I am doing a Bielsa save. I've gone back to Newells old boys (his first club) and I play his exact style his 4141 and 3313 formations. I don't allow myself to clear the ball, I have to play out from the back, I have a small squad. All things that Bielsa is known for.
Wow. That shot at 4:41 hehe Great video though. Thanks!! I have been finding myself getting board even with Rebuilds or Create Club. These tips will help a lot!!
Imo the best career modes are the ones where you do a big team that doesnt spend lots of money , i.e napoli, lazio , lille, teams that are big but they dont spend hundreds of millions every season
If you are getting bored with Cash rich CMs, maybe following the below rules will help make your future CMs difficult and different. Squad challenges 1. No player above the age of 30 at any point of the save ( exceptions- players with overall pot 90+) 2. Atleast One player from the national team of the same nation as the league in which you are playing ( that player has to be a regular starter and/or 86+) 3. A strong substitute ( preferably 85+) for each position you have ( drop in stats after interchanging positions is a no no) 4. CANNOT BUY players or LOAN in players from the same league in which you are playing. 5. Once you play with a particular player in a CM, you cannot have him in any of your other CMs across saves.( Makes the subsequent CM really difficult due to low availability of great players especially in full back positions). National teams don't count. 6. No player below 80 pot at the end of the save 7. Atleast one player which was brought in to the club should be 90+ rated at the end of save.( that Player should not be more than 80-81 rated when brought in) 8. Have to sell any player above the age of 30 at the start of the career ( exceptions can be made for legends, players above 90+ pot) 9. Avoid YA players ( to avoid getting OP players/ easy CM ) Game play challenges 1. Have to sim the first leg of every match regardless of opposition 2. No player should be unhappy or content ( happy is the target) 3. Sharpness should be in green for all. 4. Can sim all matches except for the rival matches ( optional to make it even tougher) Control/game challenge Increase difficulty by one level for the finals/semifinals Or change the sliders.. These rules may seem too much but it certainly helps me avoid getting bored even if I am playing in the big leagues.
A create a club idea…. The New Saints F.C. They are the most successful team in the welsh league but they are from England. Could be a fun rtg to have them join the english system
my favourite league to start in is Saudi league because players like Pjanic are in UAE league and it’s the closest we have to that. Sign players that aren’t happy at their european club and are slightly aging and try and win the league - wait for new offers guys try it
I do that near the end few months before the new fifa is out last year After Senegal won afcon I created their manager and started of with Al ahli Saudi
Al hilal have always had good European players plus I made the Ronaldo transfer rumours into a real signing (let’s just say that he’s been an exceptional signing for this Saudi team and we won 3 Asian champion leagues before he retired at 41
I always go with Al hilal and just sign old players (over 30) that play in the European leagues or players who are also 30 who have a contract expiring for next season
Just wish they made the journeyman a bit simpler, in PES you can pick a new team and league at the end of the season. In old versions of Fifa you used to get offers from a number of teams in different leagues at the end of the season, depending on your rating you would get different levels of teams offering you a job.
you do get a week at the end of each season where offers are out there, its just super easy to miss! defo agree with the PES thing, you used to get like 12 international offers each year i remember!
We should absolutely be able to choose what league and division we can apply for. If iv just won the Champions League with Real Madrid I absolutely should be able to take a job at Macclesfield if I want to.
Good luck with the Irish League getting sacked and going to a minor European league one. I did an incredible job over two seasons with one of the worst teams and couldn't get a job in the championship with a mid table side or with the worst Portuguese and Austrian teams. Ended up having to go the mls where I also got sacked after 6 months for doing just as the board asked me 😭🤣🤣 a frustrating journey career to say the least
I like to focus on my youth academy A LOT. I get very selective and try to pick the best youth with high potential and I always have a favorite youth player that I enjoy using. I then build a team around that youth player and it becomes so much fun. I also try to sign players with ratings of 79-83. I try not to sign any big club players that don’t make sense. For example, I currently manage Wolves. I wouldn’t sign Messi, Mbappe, Haaland to my club because the club is built around Portuguese players(mostly). I would sign Bruno Fernandes and that’s it. Or to strengthen the defense I’d sign Ruben Dias. Then focus on my youth academy with Portuguese prospects. It’s been so much fun but challenging. I play on legendary. I managed to win the league by 2 mere points. It was still fun and it makes it fun.
You should definitely not keep buying the same players. One of the great things about Fifa and EA FC is that you can see young players you 've never heard of turn into club legends or even superstars worth £100 million. The endless possibilities to create a good team are what makes these games so addictive.
I am about to do Wakanda FC with the movie coming out and signing african players and players with African heritage. Starting in the prem since they’d obviously be rich. Kante is going to be the captain for sure lol
Bring a real ex manager too a club that sacked them on bad terms. Like Phil Parkinson at Bolton or Rafa Benitez at Everton. And try too be successful with them
Start manager with a bad team and play world class or above difficulty with no budget or financial take over i went from a 3 mil transfer budget to 25 mil 3 seasons in.
The bad thing about fifa, and expecially this, is that after 6 years the game is basically dead and became boring, so starting from unemployed or 5th league became boring at the best moment of the career
Is there an editing error between tip 2 and tip 3, you repeated about signing players back to their team
was thinking the same
