I am a former Church of England priest and hospital Chaplain. I embraced Islam 14 years ago Alhamdulilah. I lived with my wife in Cairo for a year. We have lived in Oman for 11 years now (Salalah in the south). May Allah guide us to where we can thrive in our iman. ( I can relate to the heat by the way lol ).

For western muslims making Hijrah is easy. With the income and western passport whole world become your oyster! I really hope practicing western muslims will get out before it's too late.

OMG I just want to say Oman is a beautiful country with an amazing culture and tradition. The scenic landscapes are beautiful especially the rocky mountains and beaches. It also has modern infrastructures and amenities. The country is big but with a small population which makes it easy to get around, hardly any traffic, it is very multi cultural because it has foreign expats, South Asian community as well as the native Omani people plus the county is very safe. People in Oman are very welcoming, friendly, helpful and many of them speak English. I would say Oman is a mix between Morocco and Saudi Arabia. I remember the currency over there is stronger than the pound not sure what it is now, but things are affordable over there. In Oman they have beautiful mosques and my favourite was the Sultan Qaboos grand Mosque. I wish you all the best in finding your best destination to live in in sha Allah.... Ameen

Sorry brother that you guys with tattoos have to go through it everyday. I personally don't like tattoos at all, but one should never skip a chance to know the person behind it.

Yes and is thought in Arabic
Indian and Pakistani private schools are very reasonable and are taught in English.

But the majority are Sunni Muslims this about 45%+ Ibadism is second but long as you just do your thing just you do if you were living in a Christian country but Oman is very much a Sunni country and I loved it. It is a hot country but autumn and winter times are the best time for the weathers in Oman
