- Art Gallery Walk / Multiple Exhibitions
This is the second part of my Spring/Summer 2023 gallery visits! In this video, we explore Edie Beaucage's captivating portrayal of coolness through larger-than-life portraits of California teenagers in her exhibition, 'All Over the Time,' at Luis De Jesus Gallery. Then, we enter Karma Gallery and follow Reggie Burrows Hodges on a contemplative voyage through 'The Reckoning,' where reality and dreams converge in an exploration of identity and reflection. At Nino Mier, we experience Mindy Shapero's innovative show 'Cracked; loosely thru the night visions,' where DIY and punk culture inspirations merge with avant-garde methods to challenge conventional notions of beauty and value. We engage with Agnieszka Nienartowicz's evocative exhibition 'Sweet Burden,' as she channels the techniques of the Old Masters to depict religious scenes with profound symbolism at Nicodim Gallery. Lastly, we see Delfin Finley's 'Coalescence,' at David Kordansky where hyperrealist portraits offer poignant insights into themes of identity and community for Black and brown people in America.

Thank you so much for your wonderful message! It’s very touching and supportive, I appreciate you! 💖
Reggie Burrows Hodges's paintings give off this chalkboard effect, which I like. Also, the references to Vuillard look fresh and subtly reflect our current time.
Thank you for your observations, I really dig his style as well! 😎
Please keep making these!

Thank you!!
I'm in love with this work. However she arrived at this place is good with me but I'm completely missing the artist's stated intent relating to coolness. Nor mad about it though. So sad this show ends before I'm next in the area.
I'm happy to hear you enjoyed Edie's exhibition. Thank you for sharing your thoughts! 😎
