Really love these videos, they've helped me out a bunch. Dave is just great and watching his videos has taught me a lot! One suggestion I would make, as someone who's watched and rewatched your other track guides: Can you timestamp when you explain each corner? That would be a great help when coming back for a rewatch as it is normally only a 1 or 2 corners that are a real issue. So for this video, it would be something like: 2:51 - Turn 1 & 2 4:00 - Turn 3 & 4 4:43 - Turn 5 6:10 - Turn 6 & 7 Again, thank you for these videos!
Hi @shiny Chrome, big thanks for your suggestion. We will now add chapters to these guides in order to make things a little clearer when rewatching 🙂 - John
I watched someone else's track guide and was really struggling here. Then I tried Dave's advice and dropped over a second off the lap and it felt much better. Thank you so much for the well explained guide!
A word of caution. The braking markers in this video are spot on, but hard to see at night. I've been using the trees instead of the grass and it works a bit better. 2nd from the last tree on the right for turn 1 and last tree on the left for turn 5. Love the videos!
First time racing at night, this is crazy. Thanks for the guide, Dave. This video is a bit deceptive as it's more or less the conditions for qualifying, but the race takes place in total darkness!
@@davecamyt True. Perhaps I was a little strong. Can't wait to see you race in the dark. In the few races I've done so far, I haven't had a clean race yet. I find that in the darkness folks seem much more willing to try risky moves and crash me.
What league are you in? Im in rookie and racing seems pointless as someone always rear end you and you end up with 8x faults. Think im gonna skip quali and start last until rookie is over
@@Evilyoo Yeah same here, Rookie Mazda MX-5 Cup. I think the dark brings out peoples' demons. Depending on the split you can get a clean race. Since my last comment I was able to qualify on pole and trot away, though it helped that p2-4 had issues on the first few laps. :P. So either pole or pit lane I'd say, anywhere else and you're risking it.
Great vid! I'm watching the braking telemetry and noticed it never hits 100. Should my brake force be set so I'm not hitting 100 any time? You're hitting ~70 in turn 1 and ~50% for the rest. Am I losing time?
Wherea the timer though? I wonder what were Dave’s lap times. As a beginner, can somebody point out to me what are the top & average times around this track under this week’s conditions?

Loving these vids! Really helping me learn the Mazda. Would love to see you do these for other types of cars as well

It's difficult to show you reference points you can't see at night. Much better to get your bearings at dusk 😁

My least favorite track of all I have been to in iRacing. But as usual, Dave has made me want to improve my times here.
Dave has that effect on people, he's infectious!

how'd you get the mclaren wheel in the Telemetry

My lap times are shown on the dash 👍
@@davecamyt Ahh now I see, I was oblivious. Massive thanks Dave, big fan of your channel!
Went from a high 55 to a 53/54
Excellent!
What steering do you use?
I use 900 👍
