When you book loads as owner operator, you book through 10's of brokers. most of them do not send 1099 as they arent required to that
so we usually just use the sheet from the factoring company that has totals only

What about property tax in Texas for Owner Operators?

Property taxes are assessed by the county in which the property is located within. I would advise you to reach out to your county property assessor with questions.

We do not have a recommendation for your area, sorry! I would connect with other drivers if you can to see who they might be using.

So I just started driving for a company in Utah as a company driver and I live in Texas. I just got my first paycheck and they took out Utah state taxes. I have never been taxed by any other company that was in a different state outside of Texas as far as I am aware. I'm not supposed to be paying their state taxes, correct?

Jonathan, great question and thank you for asking for clarification as this is important! People who live in one state, and then work in another are responsible for both state's taxes. They will be required to file them in this way:
      1. They file resident state taxes with the state they live in
      2. They file non-resident state taxes with the state they work in
The exception to this rule would be when a person lives in a state where there are no resident state income taxes (like Texas). Then the person would only be responsible for filing non-resident state taxes at the end of the year. We encourage you to work with a tax professional that is comfortable with both Texas and Utah state taxes to ensure all is correct when filing.

Thank you for your answer 😊
Since I don't live there will I be getting all the money they take out back or probably only part? Cause this whole thing has been frustrating me lol
