Seven Days Around Korea🇰🇷Day 5

An early morning walk along Haeundae beach enjoying the sand sculpture festival and the sound of the waves.
It’s Buddha’s birthday. And the perfect time to enjoy rituals snd views at Haedong Yonggungsa temple right on the shoreline.
We met our zodiac animals and the atmosphere was happy and busy.
Moving on to Gyeongju, we enjoyed a fabulous lunch with so many dishes and interesting tastes. One of my favourite ‘Lunch with Louise’ moments.
We explored Gyeongju National Museum and could’ve spent another hour at least.
Gyeongju is an outdoor museum with tombs, gardens and historical monuments including the stargazing tower built many years ago and on a bit of a lean after an earthquake.
To end the day we walked up to the Seokguram Grotto. The temple, lanterns and view were worth the effort!
We had a great meal in a family restaurant where it was really nice to see all the local families relaxing and enjoying the robot pick up service😍
We checked in to the Lahan Select hotel for a wonderful 5* stay.
