So guys how was it??
❤❤❤
O eren criança anda no paraíso pois ele merece ficar nele.
O eren adulto sai do paraíso pois ele não merece estar lá.
I just realized. If the story was written differently, it could've taken advantage of this ed. What we see is a world oreviously caged, then set free by the boy so sought so. Yet we notice something odd about it: its completely empty, save for Eren.
The only reasonable justification in a sane world for the rumbling would be a complete loss of faith in humanity, so Eren would kill everyone with the rumbling to set them free from themsleves. It would aling with both his character as the boy who sought freedom and the ed.
Because in the ed we see a free yet long dead world, populated only by a lonely boy being consumed by his own power. The truest freedom, from life and from others, is a beautiful yet lonely place.
And maybe, just maybe, he's fine with that.
I think this ending actually perfectly encapsules Eren's wishes in the lyrics and imagery. Like you said, it's shows Eren having what he longed for, true freedom, which he can only achieve if there's no other human left in the world.
But that's not the only thing Eren cares about. He also cares more for his friends than anything in the world, hence the line "but I still love you" (them/the world). Eventhough the world is cruel and he can never have his ultimative freedom, he still loves his friends and lets them keep their freedom in the end. During the Rumbling we see Eren being happy, flying above the clouds and experience the freedom he longed for. But his friends decide his own wish for freedom and killing the rest of the world is wrong, so they kill him. Eren knows that and is fine with it. He got what he wanted in the end.
This ending shows his worldview and motives very beautifully.
