Almost all of the thrust routes can be done with epack, and are actually easier to do. Instead of thrusting at the beginning, start at the top of a downslope and jet up, and use gravity for the initial momentum. I recommend e-pack while learning routes. I practice with thrust because it provides much more utility in matches in terms of chasing and grabbing flags in scrambles.
Either is fine. Impacts give you some chasing utility and allow a pregrab boost. With explosives you can get the same or higher speed and still grab at full health as you do boosts early, but you cannot do any route that requires a pregrab boost. Most cappers these days use explosives. If you have one left at the end of your route they are great for self clearing the stand.
Love these. I have the perks and most of the other suit upgrades, but there is no way I'm gonna be unlocking the thrust or light AR anytime soon. I'd love to see more routes that were built for 2 or 3 nitron jumps but aren't aimed to be fully competitive.
The thrust isn't going to make you go faster at the top end... but you can do all of those routes without the energy pack, so why would you use it when it's essentially useless? The thrust provides a massive amount of utility for open-field grabs, e-grab routes, dodging during stand-offs, and many other things.
Do you have tips for changing direction while jetting? Struggling just making the left hand mid air turn after the first grab 0:52-0:59 I've tried jetting and turning while holding fwd, left/fwd, left...and I just seem to hardly turn at all.

people get used to have the finger on the "w" key, just let it go when u're skiing

The third route is surprisingly easy. I manage to screw up the first nitron way too often though.
